Asda George Peppa Pig Tutu Dress
by cornishchic
I went a little mad on Christmas presents for my daughter this year. Stocking up on bits and pieces when they were on sale throughout the year I didn't realise quite how much I actually bought. That being said, I was quite good and the presents weren't all toys. One of the dresses I got was this Peppa Pig tutu one.
The thing ... that made me pick up the dress was that it is so versatile. It looks quite dressy up but at the same time can be worn day to day without making my daughter look too overdressed. We don't often have birthday parties or family do's to go to so I don't like buying clothes specifically for going out as we never get our monies worth, but this dress is perfect. The tutu gives the dress a bit of a more party dress but the toned down top half with the Peppa Pig design evens it out lovely.
The dress is available to purchase as part of Asda's younger girl range which means it can be bought in sizes 9-12 months all the way up to 5-6 years. My daughter turned 3 in November and this dress fits her perfectly in the 3-4 years size. My daughter is average in weight and height so I think the sizing is true to size. I find most of Asda's clothes being spot on size wise and this is no exception.
I like the fact that the dress has long sleeves, there aren't many smart looking dresses with long sleeves so normally have to get a cardigan to go over the top but that isn't a problem with this dress, although if it is particularly chilly I do put a cardigan on my daughter to keep her warm. The dress looks great with white or cream tights and if I'm dressing the dress down I'll put my daughter in Ugg style boots, or if dressing it up some smart white shoes. The dress is very versatile!
I wash the dress on a normal 40 degree wash and let it air dry. I haven't come across any problems with cracking in the design yet but with the amount the dress is getting worn at the moment it wouldn't surprise me if it did start. It does wash nicely and hasn't bobbled yet which is fab.
At £10, I think this Peppa Pig dress represents fantastic value for money. It can be worn for any occasion or just day to day wear. The quality is fantastic and the Peppa Pig design appeals to most little girls. Read the complete review |

Asda George Peppa Pig Tutu Dress
by Candyperfumegirl
I decided to take my three year old daughter out clothes shopping at the beginning of December. She was in need of some new clothes but we were mostly looking for a nice party dress that she could wear to various parties she had been invited too and one that would also be suitable for Christmas day. We headed to our local George @ Asda ... as I absolutely love their childrens clothes.
It didn't take long for this George Peppa Pig Tutu dress to catch my daughters eye as she loves the character and anything pink and girlie. The top part of the dress is white with thin pink vertical stripes. There is a large Peppa Pig motif on the front, Peppa is smiling happily she is wearing a red and blue sparkly outfit. Several hearts surround Peppa Pig which are in the same design as her outfit. There is a lovely pink bow on the neck line, the dress has long sleeves. The skirt part of the dress is absolutely adorable, it is bright pink and has three mesh net layers, this gives a really nice tutu style look.
This has been worn quite a few times over this month and is by far my daughters favorite thing to wear at the moment. She loves the Peppa Pig motif on the front but her favorite part of the dress has to be the tutu skirt which she says is like a ballerina so it is perfect for twirling in. The dress is of a good fit and looks lovely on, the skirt has a nice amount of volume to it. I have been really happy with the quality of this dress, it has already been put through the wash more times than I can remember but each time it has come out clean. In the past I have experienced motifs fading, cracking or simply just peeling off but Peppa Pig has stayed strong and vibrant and is still lovely and sparkly. The fabric is soft to touch and so far we have not experienced any bobbling or general damage to the garment. I feel this is a really high quality item at a brilliant price and would certainly recommend it for any girlie Peppa Pig fan.
This Peppa Pig Tutu Dress is available in most stores and online priced at £10.00 (online delivery charges apply) in the following childrens sizes : 9-12 months & 1.5-2, 1-1.5, 2-3, 3-4, 5-6 years.

* This dress is currently on sale for £6.00 although sold out on the George website it may still be picked up in some stores. Read the complete review |

Asda George Trainer Liner Socks
by xxfoxyredxx
I don't know about you but one thing my washing machine always eats is socks. Like many people I can put in a pair and out comes only one so not only do I end up buying many pairs of socks I have now learnt to buy and same brand socks to try hold on to a couple of pairs longer which is why I bought a pack of 5 pairs of these for just ... £5.00.
Me, I only wear these with trainers and these come in two colour options which are white and black and I actually have the black ones. They are made from 77% Cotton, 21% Nylon and 2% Elastane and fit feet ranging from a size 3 - 8 so stretchy they are and I am a size 5 and these fit me great!
These have a lightweight cotton feel to them and no ugly seams. They are really plain to look at, easy to pull on and off feet and come to just above the top of a trainer or sneaker. They are stretchy as I have mentioned already and don't cut into my feet or legs at all and to look after them they are fully machine wash and tumble dry safe and doing either of these actions have caused me no issues at all.
The only problem I have with these is that if I wear them when I have kicked my trainers off they do simply tend to slide off my feet but for wearing them with my trainers to keep my feet nice and warm and from things rubbing them these happen to be a really good and economical purchase for me!
Only available from Asda and from Asda.com Read the complete review |
