New Look Black Piped Trench Coat
by MEL0611
I have a number of coats in my collection, most of them are either short cropped ones that don't really offer any warmth or there are my massive winter ones which are really snug. I didn't up until recently have a coat that was long enough to cover me up but that was a little bit thinner. I didn't want to pay to much, to be honest it was ... for walking to work in and I needed to look a little smart as i have to attend a few Seminars and out of office meetings etc so I started looking around and after doing a bit of shopping I settle don a New Look trench coat and here are my thoughts on it.
The coat as I am sure you can tell from above is from the new Look brand, I have always found them to be really reasonable and a good value for money store. This coat is usually priced at £34.99 but at the moment New Look have it reduced down to just £22.00, they are running a 60% sale so if you are after one, get it now! The New Look brand are great as they offer high street prices but with really modern and up to date trendy clothes. I have never had any problems with the brand and here are my thoughts on the coat.
The coat is described my the New Look brand as being a Modern Military look that is perfect for the season ahead. It is all black in colour and I like this as it seems to go with all my office wear as well as on the odd occasions that I have worn it with jeans. I like the length, it falls just above the knee and is great for work. There is minimal detail on the coat, there are double breasted buttons on the coat, they look smart and are very secure. There is a tie detail on the front that allows me to pull it in a the waist so helps keep the coat to look fitted which I really like. We are told that the coat is made from 67% Polyester and 33% Cotton.
I find the coat really comfy to wear and I have this in a size 10. I remember looking that there were sizes 8 - 18 in this coat and the size 10 fits well over the top of a work jumper or top. I have had to wash this a number of times and on a 30 degree wash it is always really good and washes well, there are a couple of pockets at the side of the coat and whilst I don't use them to carry things in, they do fit your hand in as opposed to being just for a look so you can keep your hands warm in them.
I have nothing but high praise for the coat, it is an excellent price, even if you are paying full price as well as it being a stylish and modern look, fitted at where I want it to be, I love the look of the coat.

New Look Tube Skirt
by xxfoxyredxx
Like most people I love to bag myself a bargain and a shop that I have only just really became acquainted with is New Look and I've nabbed myself some really good bargains from there recently thankfully and this was one of them.
I bought this skirt in a really light pink colour reduced from £7.99 to just £4.00 and this skirt I ... spotted in black, white and navy in the store though they were not in the sale at the time.
The skirt is available in sizes 6-18 and in my opinion are very true to size. They are pull on and off style and very plain with no pockets and are meant to be a snug fit.
Made from 92% Cotton and 8% Elastane this has a nice stretchy feel to it and its well made and thick so you cant see through it. The top of the skirt its stretchy and elasticated, great for more bloated days ladies and it tapers to your figure.
This is a short skirt, I'm 5.8 in height and its well above my knees but not indecent and I don't find that it rides up all the time but I do have to be in a confident mood to wear this one due to its short length but its a lovely quality skirt this one and I can dress it up or down depending on my mood.
Its also easy to care for. Its machine washable and suitable for tumble drying and ironing though I never iron mine as its a tightish fit on me and hugs to my body so the creases and wrinkles fall completely out anyway.
All in all I love my bargain buy skirt and I would never usually go for a pink skirt but I'm really, really glad that I did and will deffo buy myself a plain black one next time I'm in the store!

New Look Super Skinny Jeans
by CosmicLove
It's only quite recently that I've felt confident enough to start wearing skinny jeans again since I had my son last year, and because most of the ones that I had were a size too small and quite old and worn, I decided to treat myself and buy a few new pairs.
I shop in New Look quite often and find that their clothes ... affordable and good quality so I decided to have a look at what jeans they had to offer and I came across these, the soft super skinny jeans which are £19.99 a pair which i thought was a good price.
I liked the style so decided to try a pair on an I ended up buying two pairs in different colours. I bought one dark blue pair and one medium blue pair and the other colour choices were black, navy, khaki and acid wash, and as far as I could see there wasn't any brighter colours apart from burgundy, but personally I was happy with the colour choice.
The style of these jeans is nothing special or out of the ordinary, they're just your average pair of skinny jeans. They have front and back pockets, belt loops, a zip & button and stitch detailing. They feel lovely and soft and are quite stretchy and comfortable. The waistband isn't elasticated, but it fits around my slight jelly belly without digging into my stomach.
The jeans are quite long and so they do look creased at the bottom unless I roll them up. I'm only 5 foot 2 though so for taller people this wont be a problem. They also crease a little at the knees and are really tight around my thighs and calves but have a slight baggyness around my ankles, but it isn't really noticeable!
The jeans are comfortable and although they are very tight, they don't make me feel restricted or uncomfortable, or like they're going to rip at any minute like some skinny jeans can do! They are quite thick and good quality - they are mainly made from cotton with a little elastane to give the, a bit of stretch. The jeans are easy to style, I wear my darker blue ones casually and my lighter blue ones can be dressed up slightly, they look particularly nice with a pastel shade chiffon blouse and a pair of nude heels.
The jeans come in sizes 6 to 18 and i have them in my usual size, which is a 12. They fit well and arent too tight or anything. The jeans wash really well but I've noticed already after about 2 months that the stitching around the pockets is starting to become frayed and a bit tatty looking, however they've not faded in colour or lost their shape or anything and I'd recommend them.
