Advantages: Gorgeous range, for all sizes
Disadvantages: Expensive!
Having a large bust is over-rated - especially when most of the bras on the market make you feel as sexy as Hattie Jacques or Mrs Slocombe. That was until I passed through the doors of Agent Provocateur in London... a shop of delights for women (and their blokes) whatever their size. It's slightly intimidating before you go in, because it does look very slightly seedy from the outside but once you get over the fact that the assistants are wearing what seem to be pink tight lab coats with their bras visible, you soon relax. The whole shop is decorated like a gothic boudoir, and there are rails of the most beautiful lingerie you've ever seen... Most of the undies are on the flamboyant side, with a range of colours and materials beyond imagining. And if you're outside the usual range of 34B then you tell them your sign and they'll open drawers of lovely bras, knickers etc. Retire to their glamorous changing rooms and see yourself transformed... The downside is the cost: these are not cheap at all. The bras seem to come from all over the world, and that's reflected in the price. But the service and the lovely packaging makes it great for a special treat, and the lingerie itself is very well made. It's certainly not tacky, but it is sexy! There's also mail order if you can't get to London: and the people behind Agent Provocateur were consulted for the Marks and Spencers Salon Rose collection, which is considerably cheaper, but similar in design to some of the stuff. But for the real Agent Provocateur experience, head for the boutiques in Broadwick St, Soho or Pont St, Knightsbridge. Strictly for the broad-minded!
