When I am not at work I practically live in leggings. I know this makes me sound like a slob but I'm not I promise. I just think that they are not only comfortable but as long as you wear a decent top with them then they can look smart.
I usually wear mine with boots in the winter and flats in the summer and dress them up with a nice long top.
I have loads of leggings from all over the place but my favourites probably all come from New Look as they have the biggest selection where I live so I end up buying most of mine there.
The ankle leggings cost £6.99 and fit to just the bottom of the ankle so they look good either in boots or with flats in the summer. I have leggings in all different colours but most of these ones that I have are in black as it is just such a practical colour and really does go with anything.
All the normal sizes are available and they are quite true to size. I usually waver between an 8 and a 10 and the 8 fits me perfectly though I have a couple of 10's too for when I have been eating and not exercising as much.
The fit is good as they are tight to my legs and aren't baggy on the bum or the knees. They do eventually lose some of their shape but they wash well and it takes a long time for them to begin to lose their shape.
They feel nice against my skin and have good colour to them. The black is vibrant and they don't lose a lot of their colour with washing unlike some leggings which can become grey and washed out after only a couple of washes.
For me black ankle leggings are an essential basic fashion item and the New Look ones are great quality and look fashionable on me while at the same time not looking slobby and shabby.
Ok I live in leggings! t 5ft 9 I find that most dresses are too short for me (a lady should never show too much of her behind!) so for me I wear leggings and think of these short dresses as tunic tops... Plus in Aberdeen it's always too cold to go bare legged lol!
I've tried most brands of leggings and it's always difficult to find a pair which is a) reasonably priced, and b) not see through!
I've finally come to the conclusion that these from new look are the best compromise, they retail at £12.99 and they are available in three lengths (short, regular and tall). It's important to note that new look have a slightly cheaper variety of leggings and this is not them (the cheaper pair normally retail for two pairs for £12). The cheaper pairs are too see through for me and are not long enough in the leg.
Ok so now back to the leggings in question:
See-thoroughness - whilst you can still see through these leggings a wee bit if you stretch them enough they're much less see through that a lot I've seen for the same price.
Durability - is it just me who gets holes in their leggings all the time? I find that these new look leggings last the longest and last quite a few washes, they don't bobble and they stay nice and black. The seams are done to quite a high quality too, which is probably why these don't go holy as quick as other brands.
Length - as a tall lady I really appreciate that these come in three lengths, it might not seem a lot but those extra few inches really do make the difference!
Overall I thoroughly recommend these leggings, they're comfy, they last, they're good value and most importantly they're not see through (yey)!
I seem to live in leggings because I find they suit my fairly active lifestyle and can be dressed up/down and with different tops to suit all seasons and be worn with a variety of flats or boots. I always choose black although from experience I would say that price does not necessarily reflect quality - I have bought cheapo ones from Primark which proved to be superior to M&S leggings which cost far more.
My favourite leggings to date are the ones I purchased last autumn in New Look and I only paid £7.99. I have several pairs on the go but I always choose these if I am attending appointments or going out. Despite being washed and washed they have still maintained their shape, have not gone baggy at the knees or bum and the stitching is still perfect even around the crotch area (tell-tale sign!) There is no sign of bobbling either evn around the ankle where my Uggs fit so closely.
The label tells me they were made in Bangladesh, comprise 5% elastane and 95% cotton and are washable at 40 degrees. I wash mine at 30 degrees though purely because this is the temperature for my quick wash. They dry easily and quickly too and, of course, they do not need ironing!
I cannot think of anything bad to say about these New Look leggings because they tick all my boxes. They are comfy, breathable, a great weight and fit a treat and I will continue to buy them if the quality does not change. I am just annoyed that I have made the mistake of paying more for leggings in the past which became baggy, had twisted waistbands, loose stitching and faded after a few weeks. These New Look ones are a great investment in my opinion.
As a bigger sized gal who is appled shaped (Size 16/18) I do find that trousers aren't always comfortable. Leggings are my saviour, they are comfortable, long lasting, so versatile & can be worn up or dressed down.
It's hard to argue with, whatever your shape, leggings are an every day essential that belongs in your wardrobe! New Look offer a wide variety of leggings, from plain black to animal print! I have black, maroon, wet look & sparkly and wear a pair of leggings at least once a week. They are comfortable, opaque (very important!) and a great cost! Often, New Look offer a pack of 2 for £12.99, or a single patterned pair for £12.99. When some retailers are selling leggings for £25+, New Look are beating the competition by selling great dupes at half the price!
I love a pair of plain black leggings worn under a sheer shirt with a pair of black heels for going out, or wet look with a band T-Shirt for when I fancy a bit of a grungy look. They literally suit every one no matter your style.
But ladies please, they aren't trousers, make sure you cover yourself! No one likes a VPL in a pair of leggings!
I own quite a few pairs of leggings as they are cheap and very versatile and can be worn for most occasions. I bought these ankle length leggings from New Look and paid £7.99 which I think is a very reasonable price. They are 96 per cent viscose and 4 per cent elastane which gives them a surprising amount of stretch. I chose the black pair as they go with anything but you can get them in other plain colours and also some jazzy patterned designs.
These leggings have an elasticated waist so are very comfortable to wear. The fabric looks quite dense and they don't look thin or see through even around the thigh area which is where they take the most strain! These ankle leggings are perfect for me as they actually cover my ankles as my legs are on the short side, so I can wear them with ankle boots and not have to worry about showing a strip of white skin. I sometimes wear a pair of socks and roll them over the boots and will try and coordinate these with whatever top I am wearing. I will always wear a long top or vest top and cardigan so that my bottom is covered and this look is quite flattering having a thin layer on my legs rather than baggy or thick trousers or jeans.
I wear these leggings for work and also at home as they can be dressed up or dressed down and both look equally as good. They wear very well and I have not experienced these sagging at the knees even when I have worn them all day. They pull up easily and always seem to keep their shape. I wash them at 30 degrees which I find is sufficient for most of my clothes and the colour has not faded. They feel soft to the touch and are thick enough to wear all year round comfortably. I would definitely buy another pair of these from New Look, they are a good price, they wear very well and look good.
I have been wearing leggings for a while now, I like them because they are comfy and versatile. They really vary in quality and price, I have found that Primark pairs for £3 are see-through and I need to wear two pairs of them. The quality of leggings and the fabric being thick enough is important. I also don't want them to stretch and become mishapen quickly or to be baggy anywhere or shapeless. Price is important too so I have tried to find the best pair for a good price and the best value for money.
New Look make ankle length leggings in quite a few different designs, colours and patterns. I went for boring black because it is simple and can be worn with lots of different things. This pair was also available in extra long for the same price- £7.99. The label says that these are 96% Viscose and 4% Elastane. The fabric feels soft and has stretch to it, I like how they are stretchy but not too much, they are stretchy enough for a comfortable but close fit. They're not so stretchy that they get misshapen and baggy around the knees though, that has been annoying with other pairs of leggings.
The fabric of these leggings is quite thick but still suitable for warm weather, I haven't found that these go see-through at all which is absolutely great. I can tell that these are good quality with strong fabric and stitching. My pair have lasted me a while and still haven't lost their shape, faded or ripped. I think these are great value for money and I think £7.99 is a good price for these, it's more expensive than the leggings from some shops but because of the quality, they last well and don't need replacing which I am sure saves money!
I like how these look when I am wearing them, they have a smooth look and they fit snugly without any bagginess or misshapennes but they aren't too tight, they are flattering. My legs are slightly on the shorter side so there is some crinkling around the ankle, but I actually think that looks quite good. It depends on the length of your legs if you get this or not, there is also an extra long version available for taller ladies for the same price, I like how New Look make things for different heights and sizes at a fair price.
I would definitely recommend these, they look good and are great quality. The price is good value for money and they compare well to more expensive leggings that I have bought. I also think they are a lot better than cheaper leggings I have bought for example Primark ones.
I used to shop in New Look quite often but as I got older I started to feel that perhaps the overall vibe of the clothes was too young for me and stopped going in as often. I'm a mystery shopper, though, and I recently had the chance to go to my local New Look store and buy something for free. I couldn't turn that offer down! I was given a budget of £8 and I really didn't want to spend much more. When I saw these ankle length leggings for £7.99 I thought they'd be the perfect choice. I used to wear leggings only for doing exercise in but I gradually came to realise that you can get leggings in lots of different types of materials and colours. They look great on their own or with dresses/tunics or skirts and most importantly they feel so comfortable! I've therefore been a bit of a legging convert for the past couple of years and I now feel I'm an authority on whether a certain brand of leggings is of a good quality or not! I've bought leggings from many brands including Joules, Peacocks, White Stuff, Primark, Marks and Spencers, TU, George at Asda and more. This is how the New Look leggings compare....
Firstly, you can get these leggings in a few different colours. I got the black but you can also get navy blue and a maroon colour. When I was in store they had hardly any leggings left on the shelf so I assume they are quite popular. New Look staff can order from other stores if you can't find your size. You can also get these online.
I am 5'6 tall and usually take a size 10 on the bottom half. I usually wear 31 inch length trousers. The size 10 in these leggings are a good fit for me. They are snug but not tight around the waist. They work well on muscular legs as they have good stretch and aren't too narrow. The only thing is they are a tiny bit too long. I wouldn't say they are so long that it put me off buying them at all but there is a slight wrinkle around the ankle. I know some people actually wear them like this as a fashion statement though. I don't think it's really noticeable on me and it doesn't feel uncomfortable or anything but they are a tad longer in leg length than most of the leggings I own.
When leggings are a bit cheaper in price like this I expect the material to be a bit thin and see-through but the material on these is thick and you can't see through to your underwear or see shades of skin in places where the fabric stretches. The fabric is viscose and elastine. The degree of stretch in the leggings means they are easy to put on and they sit snugly on your body shape, whatever that might be!
The elasticated waistband has a lot of give in it and the actual waistband level feels appropriate - not too high like Simon Cowell pants or too low that you feel your knickers are showing! The seam around the crotch is strong and well stitched.
The colour of the leggings is deep and bold and has remained so despite me having worn and washed these (a care label is attached to the inside seam) many times now. I'm very pleased with their durability so far. I'm also pleased by how strong the material is. I have pet dogs and often either get a claw put through my leggings or when I'm out walking I get snagged on a thorn bush and a hole is torn into the leggings. However, these New Look leggings have yet to succumb to such fate despite getting a lot thrown at them!
As mentioned I like to wear these in many ways. When wearing under a tunic they feel like a second skin and aren't bulky or too thick. I think these are the type of leggings that you can wear all year around too. I've been wearing them on hot and cold days and they are always comfortable. You could very well wear these leggings for just jogging or doing something like yoga as they are flexible but clingy to the skin.
I would certainly buy another pair of these leggings as I feel they are really good quality and excellent value and I would recommend them to anyone. However I would recommend trying them on prior to buying if you are able as, like I said, they might be more suited for the longer legged Maria Sharapova types rather than for anyone with very short pins. Discovering these leggings has made me want to revisit New Look again though to see if they have more good quality wardrobe staples on offer.
Leggings are an integral part of my wardrobe in both summer and winter. I wear them all the time be it with shift dresses or on their own with black t-shirts or long jumpers and ankle boots. They are probably one of the items that I wear the most.
I think I have probably bought leggings from nearly every shop on the high street at one point or another but probably my favourite pairs come from New Look as these are the ones that are the best washers and keep their shape and colour best.
The leggings are pretty basic but that is exactly what I like about them. I have 3 pairs of them all in black and one pair in a burgundy colour. They are made from Nylon and Elastane and they have no outside seams which make them much sleeker looking especially when I pair them with a black t-shirt and some black ankle boots.
They have just enough stretch to make them comfortable to wear but they don't have too much so that they are baggy on the knee or the crotch. They end at the ankle and this is tight enough that it stays in place without riding up but it isn't so tight that it cuts off my circulation.
I think they wash absolutely fantastically and don't lose their shape and they don't fade after only a couple of washes either.
The black colour is a really nice dark black and not a washed out faded one so they look really modern and sleek and not at all slobby looking as long as they are paired with the right outfit.
Leggings are a staple of most women's wardrobe and these ones from New Look are really good and they are also priced really competitively too. They only cost £6.99 and can also be often found on the frequent sales that New Look have making them even better value for money.
I don't shop for clothes often in New Look but one item of theirs I really rate is the twin pack of plain black leggings they sell - I know black leggings are available just about anywhere that sells clothes, but these ones are definitely the best for me in terms of fit and quality.
Available in sizes 8 through to 18 I buy a size 16, or sometimes a 14 if I know I'm going to regularly be wearing them with a longer top than usual (and also if my diet is going well). I'd say 90% of those I buy are in the bigger size simply because I feel more comfortable with the added level of stretch. These leggings are the ankle length design but I believe New Look also sell the cropped style for around the same price, also available are different colours and some printed (animal print, Aztec etc...) leggings in both ankle and cropped fit. I actually have a couple of white pairs which I'm sure came from New Look but I can't find those online now and wonder if I've gotten my clothes shops mixed up!
The element of stretch in these leggings is great, but crucially they don't become opaque when stretched over my bum and hips - I hate seeing a girls knickers through their leggings and am very aware that I don't want my own knickers on display thankyouverymuch! These don't bag at the knee at all which I'm pleased and impressed about, I sit cross legged on the floor a lot (unless it's spider season of course) and find inferior leggings usually go all baggy and wrinkly in this area but I'm confident every time I stand up that my New Look leggings are going to be as smooth against my skin as before I crossed my legs.
In terms of manufacturing quality I think these are brilliant for the price; all seams are straight and flat, the inside leg seam doesn't twist around my leg (a'la Matalan leggings) and overall I think these are a relatively smart looking item (in leggings terms) which can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. The only reason I've ever had to get rid of a pair of these New Look leggings is when they become 'old' - you know, bobbling and that general ageing look which tells you it's time to replace them. One pair developed a split in the crotch and another came up with an unexplained hole on my left bum cheek, but these things both happened when the leggings were at least five months old (maybe more) and considering I wear them regularly I don't think this is too bad.
The leggings are composed of 92% nylon and 8% elastane and are recommended to be washed on a 30 degree wash. I regularly wash them at a higher temperature as I'm not red hot when it comes to sorting my washing and I know these don't run despite the dark colour so why bother?! They usually go in on a 40 degree wash with the rest of our clothes and wash fine at this temperature, in fact they've been washed at temperatures of up to 80 degrees and I've never had any problems with them shrinking or losing their shape so I think this very basic item can handle just about anything!
I'd say these leggings are great for casual wear or even to wear to the gym with a baggy t-shirt over the top. I feel so comfortable in them and love the way I can change the look depending on what I wear on my top half, I'm currently overweight so tend to go for longline tops at the moment - a flared mid-thigh length summer top over leggings can hide a multitude of sins when worn with a pair of strappy sandals (never heels with leggings, 1983 is well gone), and in the winter you can get a really cute look with a baggy jumper and pair of furry boots which will again help you hide your lumps and bumps. I pretty much lived in these leggings for the final trimester of my last two pregnancies, New Look didn't miss a trick when they almost doubled the price of their maternity leggings - which actually begs the question 'are women stupid?' as these non-maternity leggings have a high enough waist and are certainly stretchy enough to ensure they'll fit a pregnant lady even if you have to go up a size or two, it seems bizarre to pay more for what is essentially the same item to me.
I pay £12.99 for a twin pack of New Look black leggings and this is really good value for money; most single pairs of black leggings cost £6 - £7 which doesn't make these any cheaper, but the quality of them is absolutely excellent so I don't mind making a special journey into town to New Look now and again.
When it comes to wardrobe basics, New Look is normally the first shop I go to. It usually has exactly what I am looking for, it's fairly good quality and will last for the amount of time I want it to and more importantly, it is cheap. I see no point in paying quite a lot of money for a pair of leggings that I am just wearing for casual wear and that are going under skirts and tunic tops and so a pair of New Look £7.99 ankle leggings is just the right price in my opinion.
I find these leggings fit me extremely well and they are actually very comfortable. They have just enough stretch in them to make them fit all over my lumps and bumps but they are not too stretchy that Thales go baggy or loose their shape soon after purchase. I fi d that these leggings last a good few months before they start to give a bit in the knees and get a little bit old looking. The leggings are made of 95% viscose and 5% elastane so its this elastane that gives them just enough stretch to be comfortable.
The leggings also have a nice elasticated waist band too so they never cut into my stomach or feel uncomfortable when I have them on. In fact, I actually wore these in pregnancy and was able to tuck them under my bump and they were really comfortable.
What I really like about these leggings is that they go all the way to my ankle so I can wear boots over them in the winter and the boots go over them well or I can wear them in the summer with flip flips and a tunic style dress and they still look good. They hardly ever ride up which is nice and stay close to my ankle which I really like.
The leggings are a nice black colour and I find they keep their colour well on a 30 degree wash. They do fade over time but its not overly noticeable. All in all these are a great fitting, well priced pair of leggings.
When it comes to leggings they really are one of my most favourite items of clothing because I find them so easy to team up with other items from my wardrobe such as tops and dresses and of course they keep my legs warm and comfortable and can be dressed up or down depending on how I feel.
I was very lucky recently to be in my local New Look store when I came across a pack of 2 leggings in the ankle length on sale from the usual price of £11.99 to just £7.00 so I grabbed them and they came in only one colour option which was one pair of Khaki and the other black which was fine by me and they were available in both petite and regular lengths and in sizes 8-20 in my memory serves me correctly.
Made from 95% Polyester and 5% Elastane these are a stretchy legging and I found bought in my usual size was a great fit for me and of course me being 5.8 in height these do come to just around my ankles perfectly. They mould to my body really well, don't give bad at the knees or bum and are really comfortable on with no zips or buttons on them or anything like that. I can dress them up or down as I usually can with the leggings that I own and when it comes to looking after them they wash in a machine, are tumble dry and ironing safe as well though to be fair I have never felt the need to iron these at all as once on they never have any creases or wrinkles on them anyway so taking care of these is really, really easy and they even naturally dry quickly.
I can't see through them when they are on me, they are soft and keep my legs really snug and although I wash and wear these now very often indeed I have had no issues at all with these and feel that even at full price they are very worth the money indeed so they come with a recommendation from me and my legs and now I will frequent New Look more often now that I know it isn't as an expensive place as I initially thought it was and that they offer such good value for money for great quality!
Only available from New Look or from Newlook.com though do be aware that most sizes on the website have now sold out unless you are after a size 14!

When leggings first became the thing that people seemed to be wearing I remember saying that there was no chance that I would be wearing them. As time went on though I warmed to the idea of wearing them as they seemed so versatile and I have tried many brands of leggings over the past couple of years. One brand that I have tried is the New Look ankle leggings and this is my review of them.
What is great I think with New Look in particular is they offer a range of different leggings and so you can find something that will be suitable for you. They do a range of leggings which are 28" and so they are in their petite range but they also do a more standard sized legging too. The ankle leggings that I buy are usually the normal sized ones even though I am quite small because I like that the legging can go over the bottom of my foot when I am wearing them with converse for example.
The New Look ankle leggings are your standard looking legging really and are just plain black and so will go with most things. They are made from 95% viscose and 5% elastane and so they are nice and stretchy when you wear them but cling to you as they should as well. These leggings in particular I think are one of the better quality leggings on the market and the material feels quite thick and I never worry that I am going to be letting people get a look at what knickers I am wearing when I have these on! That really isn't a good look and some brands do give this effect as I purchased some from H&M and they were terrible quality and just ended up being see through in parts.
I find that these leggings are great for casual wear really and I like to team them with jumpers, t shirts, long tops and I have even worn them with a short denim skirt occasionally too. I see no reason why you couldn't dress these leggings up with some heels and a nice top but I would say there are more dressy leggings on the market such as the wet look ones which would be more suited to nights out in my opinion.
These leggings wash really well just at a forty degree wash with all of my other clothes. I find that they really do keep their shape and that they are really easy to iron once dry as well. I have some leggings from next which cost more than the New Look ones and which have lost their shape a whole lot quicker than these ones.
What is particularly good with these leggings is the fact that they cost just £11.99 in New Look for two pairs and so they are really good value in my opinion. I find that I am able to wear my true size with these leggings and most importantly I am comfortable wearing them. I would certainly recommend these ones as I think they are one of the best on the market and they are certainly the best I have tried to date.
Thank you for reading my review!
I wear leggings all the time now I am at home on maternity leave looking after my baby. I can't stand sitting in the house in jeans I am just so uncomfortable, and I love wearing my pyjama bottoms! I just feel so comfortable in them, but I get a bit self conscious if people turn up to see me if I am sat in my pyjamas! I have started wearing leggings now around the house during the day incase someone pops by as at least it looks like I have made an effort to get dressed! I bought a pack of 2 black leggings, which are ankle length from New Look around 3 months ago, and around paid £8 for them.
I thought this was a bargain, and only bought one pack to start off with to see how comfortable they were. I am glad I only bought one pack of these, it was tempting to stock up on them as they were so cheap, as I wear them a lot. These leggings when I first got them fit perfectly. I bought them in a size 8 and they are a really good fit around the waist and stretch which is great as I still have my baby belly! They are a good length on my legs and don't feel too tight, and are not loose either. They are really comfortable to move around in, and I can wear them all day easily.
However, after 2 months of use, these leggings have just lost most of their colour. They are a grey/black colour now, and I purchased some black leggings from H and M to replace these, and I just couldn't believe the colour difference when I put them next to these New Look ones! I can't believe I left the house wearing them now as they look so worn out, and just awful.
Its a shame they didn't last long, they were a nice black when I first bought them, but they just look dreadful now and I wouldn't even wear them round the house they just feel too worn out. They haven't lost their shape, it is just the colour has faded. I wouldn't purchase these again even though they are cheap, they just don't last long at all, which is a shame as I usually love New Look clothes, but I wouldn't recommend these unfortunately!
I love New Look clothing and I always buy their plain leggings whenever I need/want a new pair, they're only £7.99 and are so comfortable.
I practically live in leggings and these are one of the comfiest brands of leggings that I've got, I love that they're that bit thicker than my primark leggings yet are around the same price and they are great quality.
The leggings are ankle length and even though I'm only 5 foot 2 they aren't massive on me, they are a bit long yeah but they don't crease up and look horrible, and they're not baggy around my knees either which is a common problem that I have with leggings!
I have them in black but there are other colours to choose from as well. The material picks up dog hair and as I have a bright white westie I need to brush them down if I'm going out. The material is soft and stretchy and quite thick but still light. It is 95% viscose and 5% elastane.
The waistband is elasticated which I like, I have a bit of a mummy tummy still and it doesn't make my belly hang over the waistband! The waistband doesn't dig into my skin either.
The leggings last for about 3 to 6 months a pair with very regular wear before they start to go bobbly and see through and lose the shape, which is a really good amount of time - I've had leggings that have become almost transparent after a few washes so considering now cheap they are they're good value, I've had about 6 pairs in the past 2 years or so and got loads of use out of each pair.
The leggings are casual but very versatile and I wear them around the house or if I'm gong out to the supermarket or to appointments then I might wear them with a long top or a tunic, I always make sure my bum is covered though because light coloured underwear can show through especially of they've been worn a lot.
The leggings are skin tight like all leggings but they dont actually feel tight and i can move about in them without feeling restricted, and I think that they look flattering, I have slim legs and a bit of a belly so I think they draw attention to my long slim legs by showing them off, rather than my belly! The leggings are good value and versatile, comfortable and flattering so I'd definitely recommend them!
Since having my daughter, wearing jeans seem to have become a thing of the past for me. They tend to squeeze in my belly and just feel so uncomfortable sometimes I tend to be found more in leggings and tights more than anything these days! I am not particular to a specific brand, as I have some from H&M aswell as various jeggings from River Island, Primark and Missguided amongst others but in terms of basic black leggings I have 5 in total and about 3 of them are from New Look! I am actually even wearing a pair whilst lounging at home on my sofa writing this review lol.
They are 95% cotton and 5% elastane and made in Bangladesh. They are reasonably good quality considering I have had these probably a good year or so and have been re-washed countless times and have maintained their shape and quality although I would definitely say they are now a more washed out black look rather than the sharp crisp black colour they look when I first purchased them. I have all mine in black as they can be mixed and matched with all my tops and vests etc for a simple, stylish, comfy outfit. In comparison to my H&M pair I own and a primark pair my sister owns these are much more thicker so as not to look see through when worn without tights underneath. My H&M pair you can see right through and my mum is able to tell me the colour of my underwear! So this is definitely a big bonus lol.
They are also excellent as my H&M pairs have got holes in them at an alarming rate! Now I know I don't sit on needles or anything like that so half the time where these holes pop up from are a complete mystery to me. My New Look leggings are fantastic in that they are durable and not too thick so as to be hot in summer but not too thin so i am cold in winter if you catch my drift! Size wise you ca get away with practically anything with these aswell. We all know leggings are stretchy so the sizing for me is just an average guide. I am currently wearing a size 8 pair - even though I am sure I cannot fit into anything size 8 in any other store! My other new look leggings are a size 10 but in all honesty I feel no difference in which size pair I have on as they all fit snugly and comfortably.
My sister's biggest gripe with buying leggings/trousers are that although we are about the same height she has this belief she has a shorter torso and longer legs and struggles finding leggings which are long enough to fit properly (she also has quite a big booty lol). We are both 5'5 (ish) and I find the length of these leggings perfect as they fit right down to my ankles and as mentioned before the material is rather stretchy so I can get away with pulling the waistband up a bit to reach my belly button to conceal and flatten my slightly bulging tummy lol! So in essence they are long enough for any other people who think they are particularly leggy and worry these may be too short.
The leggings are machine washable up to 40 degrees, however not suitable for tumble dryer. I generally wash on 30 and these have held their in terms of resilience in our washer and for this I am grateful to be getting my money's worth :) Overall I love these leggings from new look as they are well fitted, good value and so versatile. I definitely recommend them to anyone wanting some leggings this autumn!
