The first ever time I was introduced to Ann Summers, was when a friends' older sister held a Ann Summers party at her house. I'd only briefly seen the shop in town but never really bothered to walk in, as I was quite pleased with the underwear I usually purchase from La Senza. The prices of Ann Summers undies was significantly higher than the La Senza Stuff and I wasn't actually sure what the quality would be like.

So, at this party, there was a representative for Anne Summers. She brought brochures, samples of the many toys you can get and had some games with her to entertain all the party guests.

I was quite intrigued by a lingerie set I saw in the magazine. The model was wearing this cute pink balconette bra and thong. I thought I'd order this, as not much of the other stuff seemed worth my money and I felt I had to buy something as it would help my friends sister get her free gift. (She had to get her friends to buy over a particular amount in order for her to be entitled to the free gift, I think the target was £250 but don't quote me on that as I'm not 100% sure).

So I got my items a few weeks later... the bra was ok and fitted me fine, but the underwear felt way too large for me! I was really gutted, as I'd already gotten it in the smallest size they had. They didn't sell it smaller than a size 10 and this definitely felt like, what a La Senza size 12 would have been. (I usually get them in size 8 in La Senza). So this thong was like 2 sizes too big for me... how annoying!

So yeah, I guess the quality is good enough but their underwear range doesn't really cater for people under a size 10, which is a petty. I wouldn't buy underwear there again as it's a bit more expensive and I'm happy with my La Senza stuff.

Summary: i'll stick to shops that sell size 6 and 8
