Asda Cropped Leggings
Advantages: Comfy, easy to look after
Disadvantages: Old fashioned and rather see-through and sit really high up on the waist
If ever you read any of my clothing reviews you will now be very well aware that I have an obsession with buying undies and leggings! I am unable to resist spending my money on this stuff in my local supermarkets which is where I end up purchasing alot of my clothes from as I don't really have any good shops anywhere near where I live sadly!
Leggings I find to be really comfortable usually. My weight goes up and down as I have an eating disorder and I also find them to be very versatile and it has to be said I own loads and loads of pairs, in different styles, lengths and colours!
Me though, well I usually opt for a safe black or dark coloured option but with summer fast approaching and men strolling round half naked outside my window (I live by the beach by the way lol) I decided it was time to lighten up my act a little when I spotted these in my local Asda store only avaiable in this particular style in white costing a mere £6.00 a pair I decided to snap them up and revamp my look lol!
They come in sizes 8-24 and are made from 96% Cotton, 4% Elastane and are fully machine washable and tumble dry safe. They are stretchy, not too thick and smooth with a cotton feeling all over them and a slightly elasticated and not too thick waistband which sits flat of course against your waist. They are a cropped legging to so on my 5.8 frame they rest against my calfs so depending on your height really is where they come to of course.
Comfrotable, well made with double seam stitching in most places I do like the turn up bottoms they have and the fact that the seams are straight on the sides of the legs which is important as being white in colour they are highly visible.
However these are rather see-through and unattractive in my opinion. If you have any weight on you at all they are not really going to be very flattering and I can see through these rather alot. I can combat that by wearing long line tops however do be careful with the underwear you wear with these or you may flash more than you think!
These remind me of granny thermals to look at however easy to look after they are, I have had no problems with washing and/or drying them at all so no colour fade or them going out of shape or anything like that and they do feel nice and comfy on however I don't like the see-throughness of these and think they look a bit old fashioned on sadly!
Available from Asda stores and from Asdadirect.com.
Summary: Not for me really!
