Asda Floral Print Headband
Unbeknown to me, we have a large Asda not far away from where we live and on a recent shopping trip to purchase birthday presents for our little one, we found ourselves working our way through the busy carpark and into Asda for lunch. Of course, once we were in there, we had to have a look around and come out with much more than we expected to!
One great thing about Asda is the prices, and another great thing is the reduced prices! We picked up this headband on half price, reduced from £2.00 to just £0.99.
The headband is nothing spectacular, though is rather pretty and works for adults as well as children with the thin black elasticated band which goes right around your head. It is quite large so not suitable for really young children. The elasticated band is thin though quite strong and does withstand some stretching. The flower is securely attached to the bang and is made of a thin material in a lovely light blue floral pattern with slightly darker flecks of colour. There are also some small green leaves to finish the design off nicely. In the centre of the flower, there are three small pearl like beads which are also well secured.
The head band is apparently washable, though we have not tried it in the washing machine and have not worn it enough to warrant a hand wash yet so I can not comment on how the head band comes through this process. I would probably suggest a hand wash rather than a machine wash due to the delicate form of the flower material.
The head band looks absolutely stunning on and is perfect for every day wear as well as evening wear.
As mentioned, it has not been worn too much as of yet, though it is still looking good as new.
For either the reduced price or the full price, I would say that this is a fantastic buy. It fits upon the head beautifully and the delicate form of the flower really looks attractive.
When it comes to Asda it is where I shop the most for my groceries. Being on a budget I find this a great place to shop too because in with my budget I can make compromises on things and look around at the bits and bobs for women in store and more often than not I will purchase pants and socks and the likes as well as food lol.
I love hair accesories as cheap and cheerful little gifts to myself, to cheer my hair up and update my look with ease and on the cheap and when I recently spotted this in the Asda 'George' section of the store with the usual price of it being £2.00 reduced to a pound I simply had to snap one up whilst I had the chance!
What you get with this is basically exactly what you see on the top of this review (photograph). A full black thin and slightly elasticated band that goes fully around the head and the flower that is made up from chiffon type material which is very soft, light blue with a tiny darker blue floral pattern and green leaves on it in muted shades (almost washed out looking really) with three small white beads (meant to look like round pearls) to the centre of it really neatly and securely stitched on.
This is simply lovely in every way and I find it very easy to pop on my head and to secure it! The band is stretchy enough wihtout being too tight or too loose and really all I can say is it should fit the standard headshape! lol. This was bought in the ladies section of the store and not the childrens though so larger heads this will most likely fit better lol.
I was slightly concerned that maybe when the headband was on my head it would ping off of the flower would sag somewhat but it quite simply doesn't and actually stays upright and ridgid for the duration of its stay!
This is washable if your careful (I handwashed mine in luke warm water anyway and it was perfectly fine!) and looks great with a variety of looks and styles. The colour combination shown on this review and the one I'm describing is the only colour option available and as far as I'm now aware the Asda Direct website has sold out of them (www.asdadirect.com) but some stores are still stocking them so if you want one you need to be quick gals lol!
Only available in Asda stores.
