... a couple of pairs. One pair for knocking around the house in without being made to feel like a tramp! The other pair for public. They can be dressed up or down as with any jeans and look great with a nice pair of high shoes. As somone who is not short I find the length great! I have had many pairs of jeans and for plain and simple jeans I would rather buy these then the ones from Next which are almost double the price but not as comfortable or flattering! They also wash really well which I always worry about when...more

Premium Review Asda George Basic Bootcut Denim Jeans: JEANS WHICH FIT!And very cheap too... (374 words)

For years I have struggled to find nice jeans which fit me well at a reasonable price. Like many women I'm not a "standard" size - I have a smallish waist, large bum and thighs, and silly wee short legs (27"!). For a while M&S did nice cheap ones which fitted well, but I haven't seen them for a couple of years. Now I've discovered these. At only £8 (although there are some styles which go to £12 - so expensive) they're an absolute bargain, but not just that, THEY FIT ME WELL!!! These jeans are really comfy. They have some lycra in them so they stretch to fit your shape, but I find them absolutely perfect for me. The waist isn't ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Amazing Fit, Amazing Price, Amazing Style - Fantastic Buy! (376 words)

I love wearing jeans - always have and always will. However, like most women I always struggle to find jeans which actually fit me! Last month I took the plunge to find the perfect pair of jeans. I've never found them yet and figured I really should give it another go. After all, who really wants to look like they've held a million breaths just to get into their denims? By the time I'd reached the end of the high street, closing time had set in. The last shop on the street was Asda - literally the last place I would have looked in for good quality jeans. But... time was short so in I went. I've always passed the clothes section but this ...  Read the complete review

I love these jeans! They fit wonderfully! Have enough give in them to be comfortable but not enough to sag after wearing them for an hour. A 12 is really a 12 and allows for 'child bearing' hips! I have to say that I have always struggled to find jeans that fit well, they are either too short, too long or fall halfway down my backside, unfortunately. My problem is the same as many women, I am not a standard size - I have a small waist (27 inches), wide hips and average leg length. I don't normally shop in Asda but when I do I always look in the George department, especially now. I had been looking for the perfect pair of jeans for years and now I think I have found an affordable, good quality pair in soft denim. These jeans fit perfectly, as I can tell they start in a size 8 and they go up to a size 24. I opted for a size 10, the jeans fit like a glove, ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Asda George Basic Bootcut Denim Jeans: Nice, but not for ladies with big hips! (165 words)
by - written on 24/05/09 (Useful, 24 readings)

Unfortunately I have to disagree with the other reviewer of this item. I did not find these jeans to be of a good fit. I too have a strange figure. Big hips, small waist, average sized thighs but I'm short. So the big hips and short legs never, ever go hand in hand with jeans. Especially not cheap ones - which is rubbish for me! If you have a figure like mine, then I suggest you walk the other way. For the right person, I'm sure these are a brilliant fit. Once I tried these on, I found that the waist was too big for my hips, or the leg was too long. Even if you try a petite, something never works, and I don't know what it is, but these were ...  Read the complete review
