I live in jogging bottoms in the house and refer to them as my 'house trousers'. I find them very comfortable to wear and you can pick them up very cheap, like these I bought from Asda for the tiny price of £5.00. They had them in black and grey but I chose black as I prefer darker ones as they don't show so many marks. They were available in sizes 8 to 24 so they will fit absolutely any shape or size, I am usually a 16 but I tried them on and they were a bit snug so I chose the 18 as I like to feel comfortable when I am relaxing.
They are 100 per cent cotton so they are suitable to wear all year round, which I do. In the winter time I will wear them with a jumper or sweatshirt and in the summer and warmer months I will wear them with a t-shirt or sleeveless top. I am not sure if the length differs with the different sizes but mine are a perfect length for me, however I am on the small side so if you are very tall they may not be long enough. They have an elasticated waist so are very forgiving if you have eaten a big meal. Also as I always sit curled up on the sofa they don't dig into my waist at all and you can relax in them comfortably. They also have a fabric tie which is threaded through the waistband and you can pull it as tight as you require and then tie it at the front for the perfect fit for you.
I will wash them with a dark wash on 30 degrees which is what I always use but you can wash them at 40 degrees if you need to. I have washed these joggers numerous times and they have not shown any signs of wear or tear and the colour has not faded. When I have worn them for a few days the knees do get a little bit saggy but they seem to go back to their original shape when I wash them. I will hang them on the clothes airer or the washing line to dry and have not tumble dried them even though you can, as I wouldn't want to risk shrinking them, but they do dry quickly and they don't need ironing.
I probably wouldn't go out wearing these as I would some of my other joggers as they are cheap and cheerful but for wearing around the house they are great and I wouldn't be without my joggers. At £5 a pair they are excellent value and are well made. Asda make very good quality clothing and these are no exception so I recommend them and give them five out of five stars.
One of the things that gets me down in life is my weight and this is due to suffering with a thyroid problem and M.E. that I cant seem to control at all and at one time was a size 22 going down to a size 6 then now I seem to be stuck after a bit of weight gain at a size 12.
One day recently getting up and fighting to get into my usual favourite jeans I decided to grab myself a couple of elasticated style trousers so I always had something I could get on me and with this in mind when I was in my local Asda store with my best mate I spotted these and she actually treated me to a couple of pairs and they cost a fiver a pair which we thought was great!
I only saw these in the black colour and they come in sizes 10-24 though after a quick check on www.asda.com can see them on there at the same price in a grey colour too. I feel that these are pretty true to size so grabbed my pairs in what size I usually am but no length is stated on them or on the Asda website. I have pretty long legs and I guess these to be a 30inch leg which was a little on the shorter side to begin with than what I would usually go for but I wanted to wear them with boots under casually rather than as jog pants anyway if that makes sense!
So mine are black and that is a nice deep, jet black and they are made from a 100% Cotton so they have a nice soft and lightweight feel but actually feel warm on. They have a thick elasticated waistband with not too much give in it and it doesn't scrunch up or fold or anything and mock ties to the front of them which again are black and do up and are not too big, bulky or long. The legs are wide leg allowing me to wear boots under them and when I first had them they looked rather good on me and I was chuffed to bits with them for the money!
However on the care label we are told that they are fully machine washable at 40c, which is right in my opinion. I get them clean and they haven't bobbled or colour faded one bit, they are safe to iron which again I do do but these failed and shrank at even drying them in my tumble dryer on a low heat though the care instructions on the label in them said that I could!
I found that although they were a little on the short side to begin with that they did shrink badly and noticeably for some reason allowing me to only wear them as my scruffs around my home!
They feel really comfy though and they haven't shrunk anywhere but on my legs. I have been left feeling a little disappointed with them though to be honest and tend to think if you buy these a bit long on you in the first place you may get away with them but for me they simply aren't great and failed to live up to my expectations....which weren't high to begin with at only £5.00 a pair!
