Advantages: Looks really nice
Disadvantages: It isn't very warm, more style over substance
For my birthday which is looming my mate bought me a coat. I'm constantly not wrapping up warm enough and am always getting coughs and colds and this my mate bought me off her own back. One night we was going out and I put on a coat I already owned that was a bit tight and she nipped home and got me this she was giving me in a few days time and presented me with it and pleased? Well I was thrilled at such a thoughtful gift!
This is only on sale in Asda at £19.00 and they're a new in item at mine and selling out really fast! Mine is a dark grey, charcoal colour but as far as I am aware they are also available in red and black too.
They come in sizes 8-18 only which is unusual for Asda as they usually do bigger sizes in most of the stuff however these are very true to size in my opinion.
It is made from 94% polyester, 5% viscose and 1% elastane and inside it is fully lined with black polyester which is shiny and a bit cool against skin so if wearing it in cold weather I do suggest to wrap up under it. Add to that this isn't a thick and/or warm coat really but it looks nice!
Style wise well its currently in fashion of course being a duffle style! Its a long length coat covering my bottom on my 5.8 frame and the sleeves are long. It has four brown leather look toggles to the front of it which work well, two deep pockets, one to either side of the coat and a large hood. Add to that, that along with the toggles to do the coat up there are press studs on the inside of the coat to to secure it.
It looks great ,it is hand wash safe and suitable for ironing though not tumble drying. Its great to wrap up and wear this as well, it really isn't a very warm coat this one though it looks it and although it has a hood on it that hood is rather huge and I have trouble keeping it up on my small head and there is nowhere to secure it to keep it on properly.
As I say though this looks really nice and it is semi fitted and layer up under it and its fine just bear in mind it isn't a warm coat, you can always buy a size bigger and pop a big thick jumper under it and the likes though!
Only available from Asda.
Summary: Not one I would buy knowing what I know now!
