“ Brand: Asda George / Type: Children's „
I was recently browsing through the charity shops near when I live and in our local Oxfam I found this lovely Peppa Pig dress for the bargain price of £1.99. It was in great condition and I knew my daughter would love it so I bought it. I looked on the label and saw that it came from George, which is a brand from Asda which I buy regularly for my children. It is known for its value for money prices and the high quality of their clothes. I bought it in size 1 1/2-2 Years (Height 86-92 cm) is on the label. My daughter is 15 months old. The dress is made up of two sections. The top half is made from 100% Cotton and it feels soft. It is a white background colour with pink stripes on, it has a round neckline with a pink bow and it is long sleeved. A printed motif of Peppa Pig and 'Peppa' written above. The tutu on Peppa's skirt has glittery detail and so do the hearts around the main picture. It has a pink band between the top half and the bottom tutu skirt. The bottom part of the dress is made from 100% Polyester and so is the lining. This is a pink tutu frilled style. This is a great dress which looks VERY cute on! It is so versatile too. So far my daughter has worn it with tights and a cardigan and with little socks when it was warmer. As she grows I thought she would be able to wear it with leggings to make it become a long style top. On the washing care label inside the dress it says to wash it on a 40degree wash and it is fine to be tumble dried. I tend to wash most of my washing on a 40degree wash anyway and normally line dry things outside and finish them off in the tumble dryer. This saves me from having to iron too much too! I have found this easy to wash and dry quickly which is a good thing as my daughter loves wearing it! Thanks for reading.
The dress We often shop at Asda for clothing for my children, as I find it to be high quality and reasonably priced. Another great advantage is they often have sales on making the clothes even more reasonable. While browsing the clothes, my daughter spotted this Peppa pig dress from a mile away and asked if she could have it. It was reduced to £7 from £10 which is a great price for a character branded dress so I agreed. I love George clothing and very rarely have a problem with them so I was sure it would be good quality. It is very pretty and I can see why out of a whole rail of clothes this would catch my daughter's eye. Firstly there is a large picture of Peppa pig on the front of the dress. With this being my daughter's favourite character than definitely was one of the big influences. Secondly it has a tutu skirt to it which my little girl loved as it meant not only would she be wearing Peppa pig but she would be a ballerina too. Then with extra detailing and a small bow it is very pretty and girly. It is very pink with lots of different shades of the colour all over the dress there is no escaping it. I like this as it makes it very girly and it also matches my little girl's wardrobe well. My daughter always wears tights with this dress as we purchased it as the weather was turning cooler. The long sleeves are perfect as it means it adds a little more warmth to the dress and with a cardigan I know she will not be cold at nursery. It is a very pretty dress and could easily be worn to a party. At the same time it can be worn day to day for casual wear so she looks smart but not over dressed. We usually match it with some boots or ballet style shoes depending on the rest of her outfit. The most important thing is my little girl loves it. She has a number of Peppa pig dresses but this is one of her favourites. My little girl loves that she can twirl in the skirt and it puffs out like it should. She has never complained about it being uncomfortable and it does not restrict her in anyway even while playing. I was a little worried that the tutu part of the skirt would sit at a strange place as the body looks rather short. Also as the dress is broke into two sections sometimes this can also look like it is ill fitted. We found that it is perfect and looks really good with the skirt sitting where it should and the top half complementing it nicely. The top of the dress is 100% cotton and it is very soft so kind to skin. The tutu part of the skirt is made from polyester but this also is kind to my little girl's skin and causes no irritation. The whole dressed feels very well made and high quality. We usually purchase a size above my daughter's age as the clothes fit her better. We went for the four to a five as she was three when we purchased it and it fits her perfectly. It has been washed many times and it still looks brand new. The skirt is prone to creasing a little but I usually give it a good shake before hanging it up and this does the trick. I do not put it in the tumble dryer but it dries quickly on the line or airier which is always good. It still fits perfectly and unlike some of the other dresses we have purchased from George the neckline has not lost its shape. It comes up well without any shrinking or deterioration. Summary As you can probably tell we love this dress. It looks smart and certainly worth the £7 I paid for it. You can dress it up or down for parties or for casual wear. Even after 6 months of use it is still in perfect condition without any fading or bubbling. It fit well without shrinking in the wash and seems true to size. I actually have nothing negative to say about this dress at all and I am sure that my daughter would highly recommend it too. Even at full price for £10 you receive a good quality character dress that is sure to last well.
I went a little mad on Christmas presents for my daughter this year. Stocking up on bits and pieces when they were on sale throughout the year I didn't realise quite how much I actually bought. That being said, I was quite good and the presents weren't all toys. One of the dresses I got was this Peppa Pig tutu one. The thing that made me pick up the dress was that it is so versatile. It looks quite dressy up but at the same time can be worn day to day without making my daughter look too overdressed. We don't often have birthday parties or family do's to go to so I don't like buying clothes specifically for going out as we never get our monies worth, but this dress is perfect. The tutu gives the dress a bit of a more party dress but the toned down top half with the Peppa Pig design evens it out lovely. The dress is available to purchase as part of Asda's younger girl range which means it can be bought in sizes 9-12 months all the way up to 5-6 years. My daughter turned 3 in November and this dress fits her perfectly in the 3-4 years size. My daughter is average in weight and height so I think the sizing is true to size. I find most of Asda's clothes being spot on size wise and this is no exception. I like the fact that the dress has long sleeves, there aren't many smart looking dresses with long sleeves so normally have to get a cardigan to go over the top but that isn't a problem with this dress, although if it is particularly chilly I do put a cardigan on my daughter to keep her warm. The dress looks great with white or cream tights and if I'm dressing the dress down I'll put my daughter in Ugg style boots, or if dressing it up some smart white shoes. The dress is very versatile! I wash the dress on a normal 40 degree wash and let it air dry. I haven't come across any problems with cracking in the design yet but with the amount the dress is getting worn at the moment it wouldn't surprise me if it did start. It does wash nicely and hasn't bobbled yet which is fab. At £10, I think this Peppa Pig dress represents fantastic value for money. It can be worn for any occasion or just day to day wear. The quality is fantastic and the Peppa Pig design appeals to most little girls.
I decided to take my three year old daughter out clothes shopping at the beginning of December. She was in need of some new clothes but we were mostly looking for a nice party dress that she could wear to various parties she had been invited too and one that would also be suitable for Christmas day. We headed to our local George @ Asda as I absolutely love their childrens clothes. It didn't take long for this George Peppa Pig Tutu dress to catch my daughters eye as she loves the character and anything pink and girlie. The top part of the dress is white with thin pink vertical stripes. There is a large Peppa Pig motif on the front, Peppa is smiling happily she is wearing a red and blue sparkly outfit. Several hearts surround Peppa Pig which are in the same design as her outfit. There is a lovely pink bow on the neck line, the dress has long sleeves. The skirt part of the dress is absolutely adorable, it is bright pink and has three mesh net layers, this gives a really nice tutu style look. This has been worn quite a few times over this month and is by far my daughters favorite thing to wear at the moment. She loves the Peppa Pig motif on the front but her favorite part of the dress has to be the tutu skirt which she says is like a ballerina so it is perfect for twirling in. The dress is of a good fit and looks lovely on, the skirt has a nice amount of volume to it. I have been really happy with the quality of this dress, it has already been put through the wash more times than I can remember but each time it has come out clean. In the past I have experienced motifs fading, cracking or simply just peeling off but Peppa Pig has stayed strong and vibrant and is still lovely and sparkly. The fabric is soft to touch and so far we have not experienced any bobbling or general damage to the garment. I feel this is a really high quality item at a brilliant price and would certainly recommend it for any girlie Peppa Pig fan.
