A really good buy just make sure you buy the right size in them!

Being the grand old age of 37 I had resisted the temptation of squeezing myself into a pair of coloured skinny jeans for ages. I do wear skinny's a lot but spotted lots of far younger women than me wearing allsorts of the colour rainbow jeans and simply thought that I may look a bit mutton dressed as lamb like.

However the other week I spotted these purple skinny jeans costing only £14.00 a pair and decided to try them on out of curiosity and fell in love with them and thought they would be perfect dressed up or down and actually bought a lovely new top from Asda to match up with them at the same time!

      The Jeans:

Well these jeans come in sizes 8-20 and in standard and long lengths. I am usually a size 10 and long length though because these were a skinny leg fitting I went for the size 12 to give me a bit of room to breath in them and found that the standard length, even on my 5.8is frame was enough for me.

These jeans don't only come in a purple colour like what I opted for but they at the time I bought these they were also on sale in blue, teal and pink colours it was just that I fell in love with the beautiful rich and deep purplescolour these were.

The jeans are made from 99% Cotton and 1% Elastane meaning that these are not only soft and comfy to wear but that they are also suitable for machine washing and tumble drying too.

Style wise well as I have already stated these are skinny leg jeans meaning of course that they are fitted, they do up with a zip to the front centre of them and also have a silver button for extra security. There is deep pocket to each bum cheak and deep belt hooks to the waistband of them so you can add a belt if you desire. There are two deep pockets once again to the front of the jeans, one with an inner pocket which isn't so deep perfect for lose change or a small mobile too.

These really do wash great. I was worried about colour fade and so on but I've had no issues with washing these on a 30c/40c wash and have also had no issues with tumble drying either but if I want them to dry naturally that's easy enough too as these are not really thick and/or heavy jeans so don't take too long to do that with.

The only issue I had had with these is that they do 'give' a lot. I was thinking maybe they'd shrink a little especially due to me living in a flat and tumble drying them after washing them so often so when I bought the size 12 in these I was allowing for that to happen and I really shouldn't have. My advice is buy the size you usually are even if a little tight initially when purchasing them because my size 12's now drown me however I am lucky that there are belt hooks on these and that at least the legs aren't too big on them and that they are nicely cut. They sit on my waist these and not down the bum and so look rather fitted and all in all these were a very good buy for me....especially if I eat too much! I will buy a couple of other pairs from this range but go for my usual size next time and then I am sure I will be 100% happy but the only reason I am not is because of my own choice and so its my own daft fault lol!

However these are nice looking, lightweight and in a range of nice summery colours and for £14.00 a pair I can keep up with what's on trend at the moment without spending a fortune!
