I saw a picture a while ago on a fashion website of Emma Roberts wearing a skeleton jumper and ever since then I've wanted one.

I was going to get the Topshop version but it was a weird fit due to the lycra-like material and after a little browsing I came across the ASOS skeleton jumper. I ended up buying it and I've had it for around two months now. I do like it, but to be honest I don't feel like I wear it enough to justify the price as it isn't the most versatile jumper that I own.

The jumper retails at £38.00 which is very overpriced - I think that ASOS have realised how hard a decent skeleton print jumper is to get hold of and just stuck it at nearly 40 pounds because they know people will pay it to get one. Even the Topshop skeleton jumper is £10.00 cheaper!! To be fair though the material is a lot thicker and warmer.

The style of the jumper is average - long sleeves and a scooped neck with subtle stitch detailing around the trim on the sleeves, neckline and bottom of the jumper. The quirky ribcage print fills the front of the jumper and each arm has a print of an arm bone. The print is obviously white and it is designed to look like it's been knitted on to it and the jumper itself is a lightweight knit.

ASOS say on their website that it is a chunky knit but I disagree. It's a very fine knit and it is no where near as chunky as say a fisherman ribbed or cable knit jumper. It's warm but if I'm wearing it outside in the current weather I need to layer it under a coat or thick cardigan. The material is acrylic and it's nice and soft. It isn't itchy or anything against my skin and it feels nice and cosey.

Styling the jumper is a little challenging as I feel that although it is a casual jumper it looks out of place in day to day places such as the supermarket or town. I wear this mainly around the house or if me and my boyfriend are going for a casual meal and I want to make my outfit stand out a little I might stick this on.

My local village hall had a Halloween party for all the mums, babies & toddlers recently and I decided to just stick this on with a pair of skinnies and a minnie mouse headband - it was a quick and easy 'costume' and I felt like I looked like I'd made a bit of effort to dress up even though this is just a casual jumper. If I'm wearing this around the house I just wear it with skinnies or leggings but I plan to experiment a bit and wear it over a floral dress or with a coloured maxi skirt at some point.

I am a size 8 but got this in a 10 and it is enormous, it doesn't look ridiculously oversized but I do wish I'd got my regular size as it is designed to be a loose fit. It is quite long as well and comes just below my bum. Sizes available are UK6-18. I've had this jumper for a couple of months and it is starting to look a little bobbled and worn - dissapointing considering I've only worn it a handful of times and I've only washed it once.

I give it three out of five stars.
