      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      A wardrobe staple

Average style, nothing special about it to be blunt. The only thing seperating it from bein your run of the mill plain jumper is the button epaulets on each shoulder which add a beautiful vintage feel to it. The jumper is quite a fine knit and in my opinion lightweight; no real thickness to the jumper as the material's quite thin (but not ridiculously so!) and i usually wear a plain vest underneath if it's cold. The scoop neck adds a much more feminine look to it as if it didn't have this i think it could be easily classed as a unisex jumper. The scoop neck is pretty deep, not great if you're not keen on showing a bit of flesh. Cleavage isn't hugely visble but a majority of the upper chest is. I've found this top is good for wearing nice necklaces with as they're more visible due to the scoop.

Because the jumper's pretty much a plain jumper, it goes with literally everything. I usually wear mine simply with jeans, leggings/jeggings or denim shorts and brouges or flats. I've found it's the ideal top to wear when it's sunny but slightly windy/chilly. Definetly not ideal to be wearing in winter because it's not the type of top that insulates or adds alot of warmth due to the material bein on the thin side.

The jumper is: 79% Cotton, 16% Polyamide, 5% Elastane and is suitable to be machine washed at 40 degrees. It's also fine to iron it.

Comfort wise, it's beautifully soft and stretchy. I never feel self concious in it and it fits really well. I'm a size 8 and got the jumper in a size 10 as i prefer my jumpers to be on the slightly oversized side. It fitted nicely but was ofcourse slightly loose, and i've found although mine is a bit baggy it still has a feminine shape to it; it's not straight up and down and doesn't stick out at the belly like some jumpers do! I love the fact that the jumpers sleeves are a couple of inches longer than my hand as it adds a cosey feel to the jumper and i can wrap my hands up when it's cold. (habit of mine!)

The epaulets on each shoulder are cute and hugely in season; topshop also has a similar version of this jumper for over £30 more than Asos. The epaulets aren't hugely noticeable but make the jumper unique.

I bought the top from the online Asos sale (ongoing) for £10, reduced from £28. There were two colours to choose from; black and khaki, and i chose black. I've had it for 2 weeks or so and it's been worn atleast 10 times already! It's survived the washing machine fine and hasn't bobbled, nor does it show any signs of bobbling.

Not sure what age i'd say it's aimed at. It looks great on women of any age in my opinion; my 57 year old auntie has one in black and wears it with jeans and it looks great - really makes the outfit that bit more edgy and modern. Definetly not an item of clothing that's limited to just one age group.

All in all, i'd reccomend it! It's simple with a little indie twist, versatile and comfy.

        lovely top

I've recently discovered ASOS and found it to be excellent value when they have sales on, I don't tend to buy things from their full price as for the same or lower price I would rather have a browse of the high street shops and try things on etc.

I was browsing their winter sale the other day when I came across this gem within all the sale, it is just my style and thought myself very lucky to have found it, and at the price too! I ordered it and was very pleased when it came...

The top comes in khaki or black, I went for the khaki and it was a really lovely colour that I think suits my skin tone colour well - it goes with pretty much everything! Then the jumper is ribbed and has epaulets and military buttons on the shoulders, embodying the military trend of this season that continues into this season! It says that it is tight so I got a size up just to be sure but I don't think you really need to do this as mine is really loose! However this is ok as I like the baggy look for leggings. It is quite versatile, as I wear mine with leggings/jeggings sometime for a more casual look, but normally wear it with a plain tube skirt and tights and boots. I've worn it loads of times since I bought it and it has still stayed the same good quality, so I'm really happy with my purchase. I got it in the sale reduced from £28 to £10 which I thought was a total bargain, and looking now they still have both colours left in all sizes but 8 so grab one while you can!
