A great dress for a great price.

I have pretty much given up physical shopping for the ease and speed of ASOS. Not only do they have a massive selection of clothes that change and are updated regularly, but they aren't always ridiculously expensive either.

I spotted this dress a while ago on their website and with it being only £22.00 I decided to give it a shot. I ordered it and because they have an option for free delivery I didn't even have to pay p+p. This makes it as easy as going to a shop and as far as I'm concerned much less stress!

The dress is a simple ballet wrap design. Unlike some ballet wrap dresses you don't actually have the option of wrapping it around as it is already stitched in this design. Though I do like wrap arounds on some dress I wasn't bothered by this and knew before ordering it as ASOS post great pictures and videos of their clothing items.

The bust has a v neckline which is very flattering and one side overlaps the other as you would expect from this style. The skirt of the dress flowers from a gathered waist, which falls where you natural waistline is. The gathering is very soft and pretty and looks very feminine and flirty.

The dress does have very loose cap shoulder sleeves. This adds to the design of the dress and makes it looks very girly and cute. Personally I would rather have longer sleeves but this is a nice little summer dress and therefore the short sleeves seem appropriate.

The fabric used for this dress is 100% viscose. This is a stretchy t shirt type materials and is relatively lightweight. I would definitely be happy to wear this dress in summer as the material feels very breathable, though I am conscious of wearing it on very hot days because of the colour of the material which is quite dark.

The pattern of the dress is very cute and girly. It is a navy blue coloured base with quite large flowers all over. These are evenly spaced and have different designs. There are pink, blue, orange, purple and white flowers on the dress making this an interesting and eye catching pattern. I do have to say that the flowers seems larger in reality than I thought they look on the website, I would rather the flowers were a little smaller as I think the large size slightly cheapens the design. That said, it still is pretty and a nice floral patterned dress.

My only real issues, other than the large flowers, are the length and the neckline. This dress is designed and has been cut to be a mini length fit. I am about 5 ft 3' and like quite short dresses. A perfect length for me is pretty much mid thigh and a mini cut really should hit this area. I find the dress is more towards my knee and I would say it is maybe more of a midi length on me than mini. I am very short so on others (and the modeled pictured) I'm sure it will be mini enough but I do find myself feeling a touch frumpy in it.

My other issue is the neckline. I have pretty ample 34DD breasts and they tend to fill or overflow most clothing items. I like this style of wrap over top and v neckline because it is very flattering for the large chested lady. I have found that the cut on this dress is perhaps a little too deep and have stitched it together to ensure that I don't expose myself inappropriately (or at least no more than normal). For someone who loves to have cleavage on display this is quite a step for me so I think they should have perhaps rethought their open neckline on this one.

I bought this dress in a size 10 and I generally go for a size 10-12 when buying clothes. I opted for a size 10 because I thought the stretchy material would be pretty forgiving and it absolutely is. I would advise opting for maybe one size smaller than you usually go for as there is a decent amount of stretch in this and it's important that it fits tightly on the cleavage area.

This dress costs £22 which I think is a great price for a dress of this quality. I would love to see it on the site in different colours/patterns as it is a great silhouette and very flattering for a curvy figure. It is also extremely comfortable and I love wearing it out and about. It's perfect for the daytime ad definitely one you can dress up for the evening.

Overall, I really like this dress and have been very pleased with it.
