Member Name: compbren
Advantages: Trendy, confortable, wear with confidence. Some good designs
Disadvantages: Not suitable for everybody, Expensive but you're paying for the quality and brand name.
Aussiebum is the leading line for mens underwear and swimwear in Australia and it's pretty big over here too! The most commen and easiest way of purchasing their products here in the UK is via their website which sells all their products including their leisurewear, sportswear, loungewear and accessories.
Aussiebum rely hugely on their website for the worldwide sales as they do not have a 'Aussiebum' shop anywhere in the world. In the U.K you can buy a limited number of aussiebum procuts from House of Fraser and Selfridges but to see the whole range you must use the website.
I first became aware of this company about four years ago when reading a Mens Health magazine and they were reviewing some 'fashionable' underwear for men. I was instantly drawn to their review of an aussiebum product (it was a purple trunk with a thick waistband with the Ab logo and stars on it). I went straight online and had a look through their products and was impressed with their bright and colourful selection. The good news was that they shipped worldwide and it was free postage at the time (although I believe it is now permanent from P&P now) so I decided to order myself a few pairs.
Aussiebum underwear can be a little bit expensive but you are paying for the brand name and the quality of the product. I've been using the company for a couple of years now and have purchase around 10 different pieces of underwear from them. I have yet to be dissapointed by any of my purchases. The online website allows you to convert the australian dollors into pound sterling so you know how much you are going to pay, prices range from about £18-28 per trunk but in my opinion it is well worth it.
Male underwear has come on leaps and bounds in the last few years and more and more men are become more 'fashionable' with their underwear purchase. Aussiebum like to use 'fit', 'toned' and 'muscled' men to model their products and I believe they have a huge gay following due to their use of attractive adonis like models. That's not to say that you would be seen as 'gay' if you were to wear these products. Aussiebum use the slogan 'If you doubt yourself wear something else' when they send you your order, so wear with confidence! I would say their target audience is defintley guys in their 20's and 30's who are in good shape, either toned or muscular. I wouldn't advise purchasing if you're overweight as personally I don't think designer underwear suits people who are big.
Anyway, if you are looking for some decent underwear to buy, then I would really reccomend them. They are confortable to wear, keeps everything 'together' and definite feel good clothing. If I had to make a criticism I would say that they tend to not 'update' their range as often as I like, they have some really nice underwear on their website. I have yet to check out their other products though but if i'm half as impressed as I am with their underwear then i'll love what else they've got to offer!
