      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Ideal for many hair types and styles

I have got very long hair which I like to put up sometimes and so having a headband handy is also a useful hair accessory. I spotted the pack of two headbands from Babyliss in Home Bargains recently and added them to my basket.

      Description
The headbands are black and made of elastic with rubber grips on that are virtually invisible. The idea is that the rubber grips on to your hair better than a normal band. The band is a complete circle and has a seam which I try to put on at the bottom so it is hidden under my hair.

      In use
I find this head band grips on my hair really well and I can wear it either close or further away from my hairline and it more or less stays in place so you are not forever having to reposition it. I first pull it completely over my head then pull backwards to where I want to wear it. Doing this catches all the short little hairs that stick out and it holds them back well. It doesn't sit in place all day though, after a while I do have to pull it back around my neck and start again but it's not a problem.

      Another use
I have used this head band wrapped around a few times as a makeshift hair bobble and it does ok to secure a pony tail.

      My thoughts
This is a great head band and it even fits my rather large head. I think it's quite versatile and it would be suitable for a ballet dancer with a bun to hold back any stray bits or a fringe. I have also seen it in brown and blue so imagine there would be a few colours available.

      Price
I paid only 39p in Home Bargains for the pack of two head bands but have noticed the Babyliss brand is also sold in Boots (but not as cheaply!). I think HB were clearing stock as I've bought a few items from the range and always have a look when I'm in store as you can't go wrong for that price.

      Final word
I've been using this head band for a few months and it's not gone baggy yet. The tight grip makes it versatile and the rubber grip which is like a tread around the head band adds extra security to your hair style. The band is high quality and I have been very pleased with my purchase.

        nice selection of hairbands

I have a very sleek chin length bob which suits my fine hair. The problem is its always falling in my face. My solution to this is an Alice Band to keep my hair neat. I bought this pack of three Babyliss black headbands in Boots for £3, which I thought this was good value for money especially since Babyliss is a brand name. I bought these because they would be suitable for work .

The adult sized bands are horseshoe shaped and are made of durable black plastic. All the bands have little nobbles on the underside to give extra grip so they do not slip. Each of the bands are of different widths. There's a very thin one perhaps half an inch thick decorated with little rhinestones. I like this one for when I'm going out, as it brings a little bling to any outfit. There's a slightly thicker wiggly shaped band which gives a groovy effect to my hair The third one is my favourite and the one I wear most often. Its about two inches in width and has a beveled diamond pattern. I tend to wear this one the most often, as it is very simple and the most comfortable one in the pack. I find the thin rhinestone one digs in and hurts behind my ears if I wear it too long. I find with the thickest one I can wear it all day without this happening.
