“ British Home Stores / Dressing gown / Sizes available for girls 18 months to 8 years. „
What a pity there is no picture of this item. I will try and describe it as best I can for you. I hadn't set out to buy a dressing gown for my daughter, but when I saw this in BHS it really caught my eye - especially as it was a very reasonable £6. It is a very pale blue colour with white stars all over it - the stars are about an inch or so across. It's a subtle pattern and I like it as it isn't too girlie or cutesie, making it a bit different to other dressing gowns designed for this age group. There is a belt in the same material that ties round the waist, two pockets and a nice collar that folds over. The material is fleecy soft and it's a very cosy looking dressing gown. I bought age 1-2 and even though my little girl is now 2 it fits her perfectly - if anything it is still a little on the big size so you may want to buy a size smaller than you usually need. Sizes are from 18 months to eight years. At first, and much to my disappointment, my daughter refused to wear this! I guess she wasn't used to wearing something quite so bulky. However, happily - especially given the weather - she has come round to the idea and on cold evenings she likes to snuggle into this and, I have to say, she looks extremely cute in it and just a little bit cuddly too. This is a really nice item for a reasonable price - cheaper than other dressing gowns I've seen. And at the time of writing this is 20% off on the BHS website so a really great price of £4.80 - I doubt you will find a cheaper dressing gown for kids of this quality! The gown hasn't lost any of its softness even after washing. The subtle design is really nice and is my favourite thing about this item - it is suitable for all ages and it won't clash with any brightly coloured or detailed pyjamas! It's very rare that you see items that are suitable for quite a wide age range, but I can honestly see much older children wearing this quite happily. For winter, this is a great dressing gown and I think it will still fit my daughter for a while as there is room to move around inside. This is the first item I've bought from BHS's children's range and overall I am very happy with it - and will be looking there in future for clothes for my daughter. All in all, a super buy, and a possible idea for a Christmas present for children or grandchildren?
