The top: This is a gypsy style top made by the Blue Banana fashion brand - it has a stretchy ruched neckline, which has been designed to enable it to be worn on or off the shoulder, a lace up v-neck section, 3/4 length bell sleeves and an asymmetrical hemline. It's available in sizes 10-18 and in the colours black or red. In terms of material it is 95% polyester and 5% elastane. Where to purchase: I bought this top off amazon, rather than the blue banana website as I had some vouchers to use - I looked at both sites prior to purchase though and the prices (inc. delivery) were the same on each, so you won't lose anything by choosing to use one site over the other. Their website can be found at www.bluebanana.eu Price: This particular top (regardless of size or colour) is currently being sold at £24.99 plus £3 postage - however if you purchase £50+ of their clothes in one transaction then postage is free. My experience: I'd been looking for this style of top for sometime and although I prefer to purchase clothes in store - where I can try them on, feel the quality etc. I haven't managed to find this sort of top on the highstreet so resorted to buying online. From memory the expected delivery on purchasing this items was about 7 days, however I was very happy to find it arrived on the third day - it was beautifully packaged in a box, gold tissue paper, ribbon, a lollipop and a business card offering 10% off my next purchase through their website. All in all the speed and presentation was definately worth the £3 paid. Now for the top itself - I ordered a size larger than I normally wear as I figured if it was a little on the big side it wouldn't really matter, but if I'd ordered a smaller size that was too tight then it would need sending back. It turned out that the size I ordered was a pretty good fit in terms of the bust and waist. I do have a couple of slight issues with the fit though - looking at the photo, you can see it's quite a long fit top, by which I mean it ends over your thighs and this is exactly the sort of top I like. I'm a tall person and I do have a long torso so I was expecting it to be a little shorter on me, however it was significantly shorter - the shorter side of the asymmetrical hemline finishes at my hip, rather than the 6 or so inches longer it appears on the model photographed. My torso isn't that much longer than average so I can only assume the model is very short. While I was slightly disappointed with this it isn't the end of the world. My second problem comes with the ruched, elasticated neckline - obviously this needs to be quite tight to prevent the top from just sliding down when you're wearing it off the shoulder, however on me it's almost painfully tight - it really digs into my flesh and leaves a red mark after its been worn for a while. Unfortunately there is no way to release the pressure a little. With the two above problems in mind, I don't think this top has been designed with the tall person in mind - I feel it would be a better fit for the shorter woman, who doesn't have broad shoulders. My third (slight issue) with this top is the material it's made from - on the plus side, the company makes no attempt to hide what the clothes are made from, however from the photos they look more natural than they are. The thing I can most liken the top to, in feel and close up appearance, is to a swimming costume. I think it would look so much better if it was made from cotton with some elastane in it to retain a bit of the stretch. I probably will buy another top from Blue Banana again even though I'm not completely happy with this one - the reason being that they have nicely designed clothes that suit my style, and I can't seem to find similar items on the highstreet.
