A nice style but not well made

After putting a bit of weight on recently I found myself needing to buy some new clothes, including a few new tops. I didn't want to spend too much money so I went to boohoo.com as I know they tend to have good prices. I paid £10 for this Alexa Leopard Batwing Top. I really like the design of this top. It's a plain brown top with a leopard coming across from one shoulder. The leopard design is a front view of the leopard as if it's walking towards you, so you see the head, front legs and the front of the body. The design is quite subtle looking, not really bright, so it doesn't stand out too much or look silly. The brown colour is also quite subtle, kind of a mocha colour, rather than a rich brown. The style of the top is really flattering, it's made of a stretchy jersey material which hangs really nicely and doesn't cling too much. The cut of the neck is wide and gives it a very casual, slouchy look as it sometimes almost falls off one shoulder. I wasn't sure about the batwing until I tried it on as I'm not really keen on the batwing look, I think it looks a bit daft, but it is only quite a small batwing so it looks fine. The top is only available in s/m or m/l. I went for the s/m which fits me really well even though I'm currently somewhere between a size 12 and 14 on the bottom and 10 and 12 on top, I didn't find it too tight on my hips which surprised me. The quality of this top is what lets it down really badly. The material is really nice and soft and feels lovely on, but it developed several small holes in it from nowhere the first time I wore it, I hadn't caught it on anything, they just appeared. It's also really badly made, the cuffs are both completely different lengths and widths and the wide band at the hem is completely uneven. It's not really something anyone else would probably notice when you're wearing it but it feels odd having the cuffs one tighter than the other and I was really quite annoyed at just how badly put together it was. It does wash well, keeping it's shape and colour and, surprisingly, the print hasn't faded at all (which I was expecting it to because I've had a couple of other tops from boohoo where the print has faded practically to nothing after washing it once). All in all this is a lovely design, but the poor quality really lets it down.
