I purchased one of these from Boots because my daughter was staying at her friends overnight and was going to be taking a multitude of makeup articles with her. She has some larger bags, but wanted something smaller and easier to manage. Thankfully this meant she was going to be taking less!
We found this compact bag, costing £4 and it really seemed to fit the bill. Although it is made of fabric, it has a sturdy feel to it and sits upright quite easily on its own. It has numerous 'hooks' along the inside to hold items such a small nail file, tweezers etc and stop them floating about in the bottom of the bag. It is lightweight and very durable. My daughter has managed to get some make up on the outside cover, but I find a wipe with a damp cloth or baby wipe cleans it off nicely. It holds a fair amount of items; it has also been used as an overnight bag on occasion and has held tooth brushes, toothpaste, flannel etc.
Being black it doesn't just lend itself to being the tool of a female, if a guy needed an overnight wash bag, he could happily use this version too. The zip does what most zips do, opens and closes, it hasn't stuck or broken yet and this bag has been in use for a good 6 months regularly. It is a very good buy and a welcome addition to any household. It has been made rather well bearing in mind it only costs £4.
I have a really nice cosmetics case that is really big and holds all my make up essentials but I also wanted a little cosmetics case that would go inside it to hold all my little items such as eyebrow tweezers, nail files and single loose brushes that I have. I find that if you leave all these little make up items to roam around free on their own in a big bag they inevitably end up getting a bit battered and then don't work properly. I've had brushes that have gotten all out of shape and had the bristles fall out before because they did not sit well in my make up bag so I wanted something that would hold them and keep them safe.
I bought this cosmetics case after having a quick browse in Boots and knew it was exactly what I was looking for. This is a really cheap, well crafted case that is very handy. It's just a basic black fabric case with a zip at the top. It is not too big but big enough to hold all your essentials. If you are looking for a nice, good looking cosmetics case to show off then this will not do the trick but its nice and functional. The fabric on the case is that thick canvas type fabric so this is a very hard wearing case. I've only had mine a few months but I can see it lasting for quite a few years. The zip works well and doesn't stick or catch on the side of the case which is nice.
Inside the case is crafted really well and holds things in a very handy way. There are 8 separate little holders, basically just little hooks of fabric that you can slot your items into and it holds them there and then you can access and find them easily when you go to look in the bag.
What I really love about this cosmetics case though is the price. As it is from The Boots Essentials range it is very cheap and only cost £4 which is such a bargain for a very good little bag.
