“ Brand: Brave Soul / Type: Skirt „
During this summer I have worn various amounts of skirts. I'm a huge fan of floral patterns, as they are very trendy and girly. This caught my eye instantly as the pattern was gorgeous and stood out from the other pieces of clothing. The skirt is blue and light pink with a dark pink, white and yellow floral design which are mainly roses with a light touch of greenery scattered across the skirt. The skirt has a thick and stretchy waistband, which is extremely comfortable without the inconvenience of zips that get jammed and stuck. You simply can pull it on and off. The length is absolutely perfect, it comes just above the knee so not to long, yet not to short. This is one of my favourites this summer as I find the design to be absolutely gorgeous, fitting perfectly and being a fantastic length. Also it stretches nicely so if you were to lose or put on a little weight it would still cling to your figure comfortably. It is very versatile, I usually wear it with a tucked in vest and a cute cardigan. I have also found that as its getting a little chillier it goes well with leggings and a nice pair of boots. I bought this in Tesco for £10, an absolute bargain in my opinion. It comes in S, M and L. I went with the small as I'm a size 8 and found this to be perfect. There is no instructions with the sizing so I'm guessing that S is 8-10 M 12-14 and L 16-18. This is machine and tumble dryer safe, I have washed it quite a few times and the shape and colour have remained the same. Overall a fantastic cute, girly skirt for a very good price. I would highly recommend this.
One thing I like to wear in the summer is shortish skirts, nothing to tarty but flirty and fun and one place that does sell my idea of summery skirts is my local Tesco store that sells alot of 'Brave Soul' branded clothes and this at £10.00 really caught my eye and when I tried the size 10 on in the changing room I found that not only did I like the pattern (being classed as Vintage), the shortness was spot on but that it was a very true to size item (with room to breath including) and so I felt when I did go through the checkout with it I had gotten myself a nice little bargain and something that I would wear often! The Skirt Itself: Vintage style this is very simple indeed. With a lovely dark grey colour and light pink, dark pink, yellow and white floral design (mainly roses) with some greenery also given all over the skirt, this has a deep, ruched and thick and stretchy yet comfortable waistband to it...so no zips or anything you simply pull it on and off! This is described as a skater design, with a slight flare to the waist, has a cotton feel to it and isn't too see-through and is really comfortable and although I'm almost 5.9 this isn't all that short on me and actually comes to just above my knee. This looks nice worn alone though equally nice with leggings under it on cooler days and it is fully machine washable and tumble dry safe and doesn't take much ironing at all thankfully. This is available in sizes S, M and L with the small being a size 8-12, a medium being a 12-14 and the large being a size 16-18 I think.... no clear instructions are given on sizing but I'm a size ten and the small fits me perfectly well and if I put on a few pounds will still stretch to fit! Do be aware that on the website (www.tescodirect.com) that we are told that this skirt is blue in main colour however I think its more of a slate grey...whatever you deem the colour to be it is lovely though! Available from Tesco at £10.00 per skirt.
