I discovered bravissimo fairly late in life, although I have always had a 36F cupsize, it's only within the last two years that I have started shopping in Bravissimo, truth be told in the past whenever I walked past Bravissimo in Leeds I thought the designs looked a bit dowdy and not worth the price - I like a frill, or a splash of colour on my underwear. FITTING SERVICE - They offer a very professional fitting service, so if you don't know your bra size it's definitely worth going to them - they were friendly and very helpful (they even pointed my other half in the direction of the sofas - a set of sofas he found other womens other halves on looking bored and a little awkward too!). THE BRA SELECTION - Yes they have the plain black, nude and white ones (which to be honest every girl needs), but they also have a selection of really pretty ones too. They're always bringing out new patterns, I've had red ones with hearts on it, blue and red polka dot, 70's print and allsorts. PRICE - They're not the cheapest, but you are guaranteed a good fit which if you do have a bust is very important. Normally the bra's cost between £25 and £35, although I have seen them go down as low as £10 in the sale. THE FIT OF THE BRA - there's no shoe string pointless straps here! Pure quality, functioning straps that support you accompanied by a cup that holds you well and is well structured - I've never had one digging in, or hurting me, or anything like that and they go under clothing quite well. PANTS - Just a quick mention of the pants! they're comfy too - most bra's have matching pants but even these will set you back more that normal pants - I've paid upto £12 for a matching pair of pants before in this shop! Bravissimo is a god send for ladies with a larger bust, just try investing in one and you'll feel the difference, and if you're lucky enough to have their clothing brand, Pepperberry, stocked in the shop DEFINITELY try them - you'll find you look so much slimmer in Pepperberry dresses and will probably be a dress size smaller than you think as these dresses allow for three different bust sizes and cinch you in at the waist very well!
I appreciate the help I had from the female staff in Cardiff store. It's is a headache trying on various bras to see which fits better, so to have a staff take one look and bring out the only one to try on was a marvel in itself! I loved the fact that it doesn't matter which bra you want, the measurements for one is the same for all. It's annoying to shop at M&S now for a bra, as you find one that fit, e.g 38E, the other variety of the same size is either too small or too big, thus lies several frustrating 'try ons'. I cannot praise Bravissimo enough, so many varieties, with matching knickers, once you know your size, you can pick up other bras without trying it on - it will fit as the first you tried on. It is ideal for bigger bust women with normal or small back / under the cup measurements. My mother commented my bust looked smaller, she was that impressed and went the following day to have her bust size 'assessed' and the right sized one was given. She isn't easily pleased, especially where bras are concerned but gave Bravissimo thumbs up for excellence. As I do.
to get a bra from the UK. WOW, I have been waiting 16 business days for my package to arrive here in the states. I have ordered from many other companies in the UK and have always received things within a week of the shipping date. What is wrong with Bravissimo?? I will be taking my business elsewhere after this.
I will never buy my lingerie from anywhere but Bravissimo! They are the best shop ever! My bras make me feel fantastic! I visited Bravissimo a few months ago and have constantly bought from there lots of bras available to fit my shape! The bikinis are also fab! Could not live without Bravissimo! Even though it is quite pricey it is SOOOO worth it! Do not believe bad reviews Bravissimo is for women of all shapes and sizes!
I've always had trouble getting bras that fit nicely. usually i buy a load and then end up needing new ones as the suddenly become too small and uncomfortable. I tried Bravissimo recently as i ahd been to teh regular haunts on the high st like M&S so though it was time to go to a bra specialist. I was amazed. no measuring tape was used but they got my bra size exactly right (which like most women was completely different to what i was actually wearing) and the bras were amazingly comfortable. They also gave me some good tips about how to know your bra was fitting correctly. Now i have about 6 or 7 of the bras and i'd never go anwhere else. Those of us blessed with bigger cup sizes really do need to go to palces like this as a good fitting bra is a must. the staff were amzing and the prodcut is really nice. They may be a little more expensive than other bra shops but 'you get what you pay for' . they also reccommended the best way to clean them to make them last longer. It's nice to have bras in bigger sizes which are pretty. Also i ordered some from the website and when i took a couple of them back to the store as i had got the wrong size they even suggested that i swap the one i was wearing - and had, had on all day - as they'd rather i had the correct size and be comfortable
I dont think I will ever buy my bras anywhere else but Bravissimo now. Only wish I had found them sooner! They certainly take time and effort to get the right size for you. (Well they do in Norwich). I'm a size 32F which is a size I can rarely find anywhere else. Bravissimo have a massive range in that size that dont look like a one man tent in a strong wind! The one star is missing because I think they are a bit pricey, but apart from that, no problem at all.It seems from other reviews, customer service does seem to range enormously from store to store. I'm so glad I'm one of the lucky ones to have very jolly and helpful staff!
I haver been using Bravissimo for about 6 years now and am pleased to see that thier lines are always increasing. I am a 36 HH which is not a very comfortable size to be- esoecially in the summer when its very hot, so a good fitting bra is a necessity for me- and Bravissimo always provide it. I tend to go into store to be measured (as my bra size can fluctuate with my weight) and then if they havent got what I want I order from home via the internet site. I often find that becasue of my size they dont have many bras in stock. (Having said that the assistants do everyting in their power to help when you are there). The bras come very nicley packaged and Bravissimo do offer a sizeable guarantee period of 6 moths if its not quite right. They also include care instructions which is important if you are paying nearly £30 for a bra! (I envy smaller chested women who can buy from the likes of M&S for a tenner!) I also thik its worth mentioning that Bravissimo point out the difference in sizing between manufacturers, for instance Freya bras come out smaller than Panache. Saves money and time in the long run. I know its embarrasing to measured- especially for those of us with less than perfect figures but I would stres the importnace of being fitted and getting a well fitted bra to everyone. Get the bra right and all your clothes will fit better, youl'll be far more comfortable and above all you'll feel better about yourself if you aint got what appear to be 4 boobs!
Extremely poor customer care, moody staff & an inability to provide good support & help. After being a Bravissimo customer for at least 12 years these are my final conclusions before I take my business else where.
Well, yesterday I bought my first Bravissimo Bra - from the Bravissimo Shop in Milton Keynes (have suggested adding the shop to DooYoo so I can review their excellent fitting service) and have to say I am very impressed. A little about my boobs... Although I am only 21 I can hand on heart say I have an awful pair of boobs, they naturally are quite droopy and I always feel like they are saggy and nasty! They are heaviest at the top of my breast so slop downwards quite a bit. Soul destroying for a 21 yr old let me tell you! It transpires that although I have always worn a D I am actually an F! Boy was my face red! The lady brought me out a soft cupped bra to try and instantly my reaction was "no way". I have never worn soft cupped bras as due to being heavy, in soft cups my boobs tend to sit about 3 inches above my ankles. After some gentle prodding I tried it on, and was totally and utterly speechless. I wanted to walk out of the shop in nothing but this bra! To my suprise it was very firm an supportive and lifted them up to higher than I have ever seen them! The quality was fantastic, the back part of the bra was not all flimsy but very rigid, which gives you a bit of added confidence that they will actually stay in place and the design was lovely. It was £24.50 for this bra (which being a bargain hunter I found pricey) but I bought it without hesistation - it was just that good. When I went to pay the lady started asking me for my postcode which baffled me. When I asked why she explained that she had to take my details for the guarentee. I laughed and reminded her I was purchasing a bra and not a microwave but it turns out that Bravissimo guarentee all their bra's for 6 months and in that six months if there is a problem you take it back! I was bowled over and thought that this was superb. The assistant also included a little leaflet on how best to care for your bra's which I thought was a brilliant idea! After it was all packaged up I left, a very happy girl. They stock a huge delection of different sizes, designs and colours and after going round looking they all feel far superior quality to any I have seen before! There is a lot more I could mention but will wait until my store suggestion is approved as this review is about the bra's specifically and not the store, customer service etc.
After years of unsatisfactory bra fittings I was pointed in the direction of Bravissimo by a friend and have never looked back! As well as having some of the nicest shops that I have ever been in, Bravissimo famously doesn't use a measuring tape to fit you - they fit the bra to you not you to the bra. I spent a good hour and a half in my Bravissimo fitting when they took me from a 38B to and 34F! The difference it makes is absolutely amazing! It makes me look taller, thinner and gives my boobs a fantastic shape (and i've had a baby!). The selection of bras that they offer is staggering and although the price tag is slightly higher than say an M&S bra it really is worth the extra money. I have just replaced my last set of bras from them and they lasted over 2 years. I would completely recommend them to any bigger boobed woman - they will make you feel so good about yourself!
I visited Bravissimo for the first time about two weeks ago, and I have to confess I'm completely and utterly converted. I've always been a little self-conscious about underwear shopping, and resented many of the "fuller bust" sections in department stores because, at 21 (and younger), I really didn't want to be wearing the frumpy bras that they stocked. I got measured when I was 18, and was told that I should be wearing a 38D. So I happily stuck to this size for three years, but absolutely dreaded underwear shopping as I found it virtually impossible to find a bra that fitted and gave a decent amount of support. Perhaps I should have taken this as a sign that I was in fact wearing the wrong size, but I just assumed, as I think many would, that because the lady who measured me had been in possession of a tape measure, she must have been right. A friend of mine went into Bravissimo earlier in the year, and she told me that her bra size had gone from something around a 34D to a 30G, and this began my suspicion that I was in fact wearing the wrong size - we wear a similar size in clothes, and therefore I suspected that I probably shouldn't have been wearing a 38 back. My first stop was the Bravissimo website, as there wasn't a store near enough for me to just "pop in". I watched a very helpful video which suggested that many women simply go up a back size when their bra doesn't fit, and following a number of tips from this video (such as the back of your bra should be straight and not rise up, and you should only be able to slip two fingers underneath the back, not pull it away from your body), I deduced that I should perhaps go down a back size and up a cup size, making me a 36E. However I was heading to London that weekend, so decided to make a visit to the Oxford Street branch and check this out before making any purchases. So I headed in on a Saturday - and even though this is their peak time, when I arrived at 11am I was only confronted with a 30minute wait for a fitting. So I decided to have a quick look around the shop while I was waiting. It's a gorgeous, luxurious shop, and my first thoughts on entering were that I had finally found the solution to my underwear problems, as almost every bra on offer looked luxurious, sophisticated and incredibly feminine, which was all I really wanted. My first impression was that the shop was very well laid out with an immensely comfortable waiting area downstairs where the fitting rooms are - it all makes you feel at home, and that in my opinion is important when dealing with what is a very personal type of shopping. So, half an hour was up and it was time for my fitting, and I was greeted by a lovely girl. The fitting rooms themselves were again lovely and luxurious - big enough that you don't feel cramped at all, even when in there with an assistant. They do however go on for miles in a strange snaking pattern in this particular shop so it's very easy to get lost! In terms of the fitting itself, once I had stripped down to my bra the assistant instantly identified the problem, and without so much as a mention of a tape measure decided that I should be wearing a 34F - which was two sizes different both in cup size and back size to what I was currently wearing. She disappeared to get some bras for me to try, and I was left somewhat amazed. When she returned, she took the time to check that I was comfortable trying these on with her in the room - I personally did not have a problem with this, but it was reassuring to know they were trained to ask - and then she proceeded to show me the correct way to put a bra on - once fastened with the straps over your shoulders, you should lean forward and position your breasts in the bra, and ensure that they are sitting above the wire. If the bra fits well, the middle panel should sit flatly between your breasts, the back should not ride up at all and should be fastened to begin with on the loosest fastening, the shoulder straps should not dig in and you should not have the infamous "four boobs" dilemma. I could tell as soon as I tried the first bra on that I had, definitely, solved my underwear issue, and I proceeded to buy three bras on the spot. The assistant I was dealing with was incredibly helpful - she asked what styles and colours I was interested in and bought me a selection to try, before leaving me to browse the shop alone with her advice. Having worn the bras I purchased for a couple of weeks now, friends and family have commented on the difference these bras make to my sillhouette, and I feel immensely more comfortable and confident knowing that I have the correct fit - I can only encourage everyone who has concerns about their own bras to visit! Whilst these were pricey, costing me a total of over £80, you can tell you are getting quality in the products, and with care instructions and the proper fit, I have every faith that these will last. I won't hesitate to buy all future bras from Bravissimo, and I can only offer a huge thank you to their staff for their help. One final tip I picked up at my fitting was that if you're purchasing a plunge bra (as I did, due to my love of fairly low-cut tops - if you've got it, flaunt it, I say!) you should keep the back size the same but go up a cup size to ensure the correct fit - hence, the regular bras I own are 34F, but the plunge bra is 34FF - brilliant tip that I'd never realised, and having never been able to wear plunge bras comfortably, a brilliant tip I wanted to pass on!
I am so glad that I have discovered Bravissimo, as for years I had been wearing the wrong size bra. I thought that I was a 38E, but found that I should really be wearing a size 36GG after being fitted at my local Bravissimo shop. I was aware that they did bras in large cup sizes by mail order, some years earlier, but was not keen to buy bras this way, as I would probably had to return them if they didn't fit. I was advised to go to Bravissimo for nursing bras when expecting my daughter, and returned later to get fitted again for underwired bras, which I had never felt comfortable wearing before, due to them being completely the wrong size. I was fitted in a number of bras, reducing the cup size until I was comfortable in a 36GG. I was pleased to be smaller in the back, as I had been advised in another shop that I needed a 40/42F, which was far too loose. Bravissimo do not measure, and go by how the bra looks and feels. A correctly fitting bra should not ride up at the back and the underwiring needs to sit under the breasts and against the ribcage. When wearing the right bra, you can look as though you have lost weight, as the breasts are lifted up and supported, rather than sagging. I now have some bras that fit well and are comfortable, and intend to purchase some more in the future. Bravissimo also do swimwear and clothing, that is specially designed for women with large breasts. The cupsizes go up to a K and back sizes start at a 28, and the clothing is made with extra room in the chest area, to accomodate a large chest without pulling and gaping. The bras, swimwear and clothing are not that cheap, but they are very good quality and are available in many gorgeous styles, something that was impossible to find not so long ago, if you had a large chest. Previously, bras in large cup sizes were always really frumpy and matronly, with ugly thick straps, making the wearer feel like Hattie Jacques. By contrast, the bras from Bravissimo, are really pretty, and many have matching knickers and thongs. There is also a range of bridal lingerie, strapless bras, maternity and nursing bras. The staff at Bravissimo are really experienced and very helpful, and offer great advice on which bra to choose. The service really is excellent.
Well what can I say? I've just been to Bravissimo Norwich. As a 36F boob I've never had too much problem getting bras and the styles have improved a lot recently. BUT I'm now the proud owner of my very first bikini, which I think fits better than any of my bras. At £41 it's pretty pricey but I do watersports so will have a huge amount of use from it.AND even better they sell clothes. I shall soon be buying my very first dress! Sounds ridiculous doesn't it? With size 8-18 dress sizes with an additional 'curvey', 'really curvey' and 'super curvey' I was amused to find that I'm a size 12SC. No more buying size 16/18 tents for me. See you in the sun, flashing my new figure. I'm very happy!
As a woman you will understand this problem of finding bras that fit correctly, you have been measured periodically over the years and never really changed, I had always worn a bra that I believed to be a good fit and so did my friend so when she came to visit and had to have the fitting for her bridesmaid dress we struck a problem, her bra was not supporting her ample cleavage and we had a mission to go and find a supportive bra so we headed for Chester, Debenhams was our first stop and with this we quickly got measured and were told to go up a back size and possible up a cup size, now I do not have the biggest of cleavage but my bosom buddy definitely appeared to me to be a bit more than one cup size larger than me and when we both tried on the bras none offered real support and to say she felt uncomfortable and self conscious was an understatement, so we decided to try Marks and Spencer as they never failed to let us down, unfortunately this time they did we came across the same problem that the bras just did not fit and it was at this point we were recommended to Bravissimo. *~*Bravissimo*~* Specialises in underwear, swimwear and clothing for the bigger breasted lady, now by this I do not mean that you have to have boobs as large as Jordan to shop here as they start from a D cup rising up to a KK cup. Bravissimo was created by Sarah Tremellan in 1995 when she had gotten so frustrated looking for a bra that fitted correctly and also looked a little more glamorous than the old fashioned styles sold in the larger department stores. *~*The Store*~* As we entered the store it felt refreshing as all of the underwear was hung up and organised by size and there was plenty of floor space to browse around the items and the other customers. As we entered the door the staff members were both serving on the tills but shouted over "Hello" to us before asking if they could help, we promptly replied that we were both trying to find a supportive strapless bra for a specific purpose and that we wanted to try some styles on. The assistant advised us that if we had never been measured at Bravissimo then she strongly recommended that we get measured first of all as this would guarantee a good fit, at this time we were certainly running out of funds and we politely declined but the assistance was not giving up this easy and decided that as it was for such an important occasion that we should come back in about 40 minutes to get measured, so we agreed and disappeared off for some lunch. Our store is located on Watergate Street in Chester which is easy enough to find and the website displays a map for directions and also the other branches where you can pop in to be measured or to make a purchase. There are currently 18 Bravissimo stores located around the United Kingdom, but if there is not a store by you, click on their website and view the range or order a free brochure direct to your home. *~*Getting Measured*~* When we returned back to the shop we were directed up a flight of stairs to a waiting room which contained 3 large cerise pink sofas and a welcoming coffee table full of ladies magazines, we waited for a few minutes before we were called into the changing room. Most bra measuring services involve being measured with a tape measure but how they guess the cup size is a puzzle to me so imagine our surprise when we returned to the shop and were asked what size bra we currently take and what advice on sizing we had previously been given. The assistant then placed her fingers underneath the back bra strap and very quickly announced that the back size we were wearing was too big and we needed to drop down a size as this was the bit that would support the boobs, the next surprise was when my friend was told that she was a whole 3 cup sizes larger than what she was wearing and I was a cup size larger than I believed. Next some bras were brought into the changing rooms for us both to try and see the difference and this was amazing, we both felt so much more supported and confident with the bras on and my friend proceeded to jump around in the changing rooms to test how sturdy her strapless bra actually was and the cleavage was certainly not moving anywhere!! The range offered by Bravissimo is gorgeous and really good value for money and at the moment there is a sale on via their website where you can get some great bargains. If you are a C cup then I would recommend taking a visit to Bravissimo you may be surprised at what you discover, many women who have visited Bravissimo have been surprised to learn what size bra they actually are and how well it fits, their website actually shows how you can measure yourself for the correct size with some handy hints and tips. *~*My Opinion*~* Never before have I felt so comfortable in a bra, it offers real support and what's more there are some real sexy ranges out there that cater to every occasion whether it be sports wear, bridal wear, swim wear, Bravissimo has it all offering a service that just can't be experienced anywhere else with a real customer satisfaction guarantee you will leave the store feeling more supported and a lot more confident with your bust.
Bravissimo Bras- Great Stuff I am a big fan and a regular customer of Brassivo both by on-line and in their stores. Bravissimo is an underwear/swimwear retailer than specialise in larger cup sizes. They have retail outlets nationwide (unsure of locations, my neareast is Glasgow) or you can order on line. I beleive they also have a catalogue, however I have not seen this. Bravssimo bras range up to a K sized cup so there is great variety for most women. I have been a size 38H for most of my adult life and whilst it does not bother me too much, what has in the past bothered me is the availability of supportive yet attractive and feminine underwaer and swimwear. I have not personally purchased any swimwear but I do own at least a dozen underwear sets. I have found any bras and pants I have bought to be of good quality, very supportive (very important) durable and very attractive to wear. My purchase range from sexy black sets to pretty pink numbers to basic everyday whites. The only disadvantage I have found with Bravissimo is the price. Anyone with a llarge cupsize with know that a standard goosd quality bra scosts around £30 and Bravissimo is no exception to this. Maybe a budget range would be a good idea for the future Overall- thumbs up
Bravissimo is a company that provides a wide choice of lingerie and swimwear in D-K cup, as well as clothing designed especially for big boobed women so that they can celebrate their curves and feel good about themselves!
