I absoloutely love dresses. I think it was cos once upon a time I was 16 stone and looked frumpy in them and then I went on the Weightwatchers plan and lost a few stone.
I love dresses so much that not only do I have loads for nights out and special occasions but I do occasionally wear smart but reserved frocks in the day and I really am a fan of maxi dresses as I have really skinny legs and prefer to cover them up whenever possible!
This dress being £32.00 in Freemans really appealed to me. I like plain but good quality dresses that can be dressed down for a nice day time look or blinged up for evenings out and so are versatile.
This dress comes in sizes 8-16 with me feeling the dress is very true to size with quite a bit of give in it. It is made from viscose entirely, is full machine washable and suitable for tumble drying and ironing however because its a jersey feeling dress I let mine dry naturally so I get no shrinkage and no matter how often I wash this dress it hasn't gone out of shape, frayed or faded at all.
The dress is defined as slim fitting so it sits on the hips has little capped sleeves (so can help to disguise batwings and the likes!) and is 58 1/2 inches length. I'm 5.9 and this comes to around my ankle area. Beautifully made it is double stitched in most places, plain at the back of the dress with rusching near the left breast to give a little detail but in a very elegant and understated way.
This though isn't a very flattering dress because it is slim fitting. It doesn't really disguise any lumps and bumps at all so at the very least this would look best on a body that is in proportion. It's fluid, the sleeves are really pretty and like I stated earlier this can be really tarted up or down and I think this dress is very worth its price tag!
Available from freemans catalogue or Freemans.com but worth googling if interested too and you may get it a bit cheaper.
