I have recently been updating some of my outdoor hiking gear as some of my stuff had seen better days and one of the things I needed was a good pair of hiking trousers that were tough enough to with stand some of the rough and tumble of hiking through woods and up mountains but were also quck drying. The fact that these can also zip off into a pair of shorts means that they are excellent if you are off to warmer climes as they can double up so freeing up more storage space in your ruck sack.

I have had the traditional ones before however this is the first time I have gone for the zip off variety and while the downside to the zips is that it is one more thing that can go wrong on the garment the versatility is a plus.

Normally these sell for between £40 - £45 but I got mine online for £25 which was a nice saving. They are available in three colours, I went with the dark blue pictured however there are lighter colours as well.

They are very comfortable to wear and come with a pinch shut belt, velcro sealed side and knee pockets however there was no front zipped security pocket which is a bit annoying and the only downside on my pair.
