“ Manufacturer: Danskin / Type: Sports Wear / Gender: Female „
These tights are pefect for any dancer. I am not a dancer myself, however my mom actually sells dancewear and my little sister is a dancer, and therefore can definatly say that these tights can not be faulted!
They are a little on the pricey size, however if you shop around you can get a much better deal then in larger dance stores, probably on either ebay!
Danskin is a very popular dancewear name, and they stock a variety of dance products. These tights come footless, footed, stirrup and convertible, and in colours light toast, toast and black. The tights are quite thick and sturdy, and therefore long lasting, and very difficult to pull and gag like normal tights, therefore the price can be justified as it is unlikely you will need to constantly keep rebuying.
Definatly worth while purchase for any dancer and should be part of your wardrobe! These tights will last a long time and complete and dance outfit.
Personally from many customers I have been advised that the tights are well worth the money, and are long lasting. They are very difficult to rip or gag, and like normal tights do not ladder easily. The tights can be machine washed, however to keep the shape it is advisable to hand wash the tights.
I first found Danskin tights a couple of years ago, when one of my friends recommended them to me. She used to wear them to raves and parties and I wear them also for raves, but also for wrestling too.
Danskin is a dance wear company, and these tights are meant to for dancers, so they are sturdy, thick and comfortable. They also pull you in a bit, making you look a bit thinner, and making your legs look very toned. They come in Shimmer (Ultra) and Matt. Both types are great, so what pair you decide to wear is just down to preference. They also do a pro fishnet tight.
These tights come in Light Toast, Toast, and Black. I usually wear the light toast as I have quite a pale skin color and they look pretty good on me. The sizes are in Letters, from A to D. A is for the small sizes like 6/8/10. B is for 10-12 C is for 12-14 and D is 16-18. These tights are quite stretchy, so sometimes it can be hard to decide which size to wear at first, but you soon get used to the sizes.
You can get these tights in Footless, Footed, Stirrups and Convertible. Convertible can be changed from footed to footless in a second, and is great for those who do different types of dance classes. I usually wear the footed as these are just more comfortable to me than the footless or stirrups. I personally have not worn the Convertible tights, but friends have told me that they like them.
These are quite expensive, sold in most dance stores for around £23 but they can be found cheaper on websites like ebay, although be careful to read the listing properly as they do young girls sizes of Danskin tights too, and these really are tiny!
I find that the cost is worth it, as I hardly ever have to buy a new pair, maybe once every six months. They are very sturdy, and I have only ripped one pair and laddered another in the whole 2-3 years I have been wearing them, and I do put them through some tough wear. They are simple to wash, just pop them in the washing machine at 30 degrees, and even the shimmer ones wash fine, no fading or loss of color, tightness etc.
I recommend these to everyone as they are great tights and I could not be without them.
