      Great socks

I really rate my great David James Wellington Boots Socks highly. They were bought by myself from online store Amazon and cost me a fiver. I like these socks because they are made specifically for wearing with your wellies (obviously). We live in an area where there is a lot of open countryside and I am often forced (as indeed we all are as a family) to don our wellies when we go out. I often find that wearing wellies for a long walk can cause pain and blistering on the sides and soles of my feet and since I have been wearing these fantastic socks, I can definitely say they have made one hell of a difference.

My socks are in plain black as I wasn't too keen on all the other bright and fancy colours they came in, and I think black is fairly unisex. They are made of 10% polyester and 90% acrylic and they are great at staying on my feet when I do the welly walk because they are gently gripped at the top and don't come too far up my calf, either, which is something I hate in men's socks. They are soft to touch and very durable and bounce back into shape after each and every wash.

I also like the fact that they are well cushioned on the soles and this definitely helps to make walking in a pair of wellies a lot more comfortable in my opinion. They also never make my feet get overly hot (I have heat problems anyway with my feet) and this don't aggravate the condition at all. I feel my feet are able to breathe easily and they are very comfortable to wear.

I not only have worn theses great socks with wellies, but I have also worn them with my ordinary walking shoes and they are comfortable to wear just around the house. I am keeping them away from my dear other half though because if she finds out how comfortable they are she'll be wearing them more than I do.

      Great socks, and definitely recommend.

A great wellie sock to keep you warm and snug!

I share a flat with my best friend. I moan a lot (I have to admit lol) and really do feel the cold really badly. After a hell of a lot of moaning from myself, for my birthday I found that one of my presents was these. Well she bought me two pairs actually from Morrisons at 2 pairs for £5.00 and I couldn't wait to wear them...however she had made a mistake. I am not a male and my feet are not sized 7-12! No mine are female feet and a small size 5, however I kept them thinking they would be ok for knocking about in, I do have Wellington boots and I do wear socks in bed after-all!

      The Packaging:

All that comes on the socks is a cardboard sleeve that easily tears off and on the front of that I am told of course as I have revealed already that they are mens socks, size 7-12 (Eur 40-47), David James Wellington Boot Socks and that they have a gentle grip top, that they are calf length, soft touch and have a full cushion and that they are to 'make Wellington's more comfortable' and there is a photograph of a pair of wellies with a pair of these draped over them. On the back of the sleeve other information listed includes being told a bit about Wellingtons and about these socks, I'm told how to care for them, what they are made of and that is it really. No contact details are listed for the company, other than that the packaging is informative enough.

      The Socks:

The socks come in a variety of primary colours, the ones I got were 2 pairs of the plain black ones. They are made from 90% acrylic and 10% polyester and are smooth and soft to the touch.

Ok my pairs are too big for me however I love them as the quality of them is superb and they wash up brilliantly on a 40% wash (though you can't tumble dry them) and they look as good as new after lots of washes and don't go bobbly or saggy or anything like that!

They have a really good gentle grip from elastic to the calf of the leg, not too tight and certainly not uncomfortable in any way shape or form. They don't give the legs 'rings' and stay put without rolling down or moving at all. The whole of the sock is slightly cushioned through thickness really giving comfort to the foot and also keeping them dry and warm. They feel incredibly soft whether worn alone or within footwear and for me they are a really durable, warm sock.

For me, like I say they are a bit big and when I get round to it I will get myself the ladies versions of these as I am impressed with the way that these are made and feel that offer great value for money!

These are not only on offer at Morrisons at the moment but are available to purchase online in stores such as Amazon.
