This is an adorably quirky geek-chic tee-shirt from Topshop. It's designed by Tee and Cake, an amazing brand which designs graphic print t shirts, sweaters and more for Topshop. Tee and Cake are quite possibly the best clothing brand ever, I love all of their clothes and if I had enough money i'd buy the whole range, lol. This particular T shirt stood out to me as soon as I saw it on the Topshop website. I've got a weird obsession with dinosaur print t shirts at the minute and they're really in fashion, Topshop have a range of different dinosaur print tops and this one is the latest addition to my growing collection.
This is a basic T shirt with relaxed fitting sleeves and a wide, deep scooped neck. It's a white T shirt and no other colours are available. The T shirt has a large picture on the front which is a dinosaur. The fleshy part of the dinosaur is a silhouette, with the skeleton standing out. The skeleton is a lime green which sounds ugly but it really works, it's eye catching and adds a lot of personality and character to even the most simple of outfits. The detailing of the skeleton is really impressive and although it won't be everyones cup of tea, I think it's adorable.
The picture of the dinosaur takes up the chest area of the t shirt and is unmissable. I think it's really cool, however, the dinosaur's head is actually placed in an odd position and it can't be seen properly when wearing the t shirt as it kind of falls inbetween my arm and the sleeve if that makes sense. It's still cool though! Underneath the picture of the dinosaur there are the words 'nice to eat you' scrawled in large font. The font is black with an off-lime green shade outlining it, creating an almost 3D look which is cool and the slogan reminded me a lot of the recent kasabian song about a dinosaur which goes something like "he's gonna find ya, he's gonna eat ya" - maybe this tee shirt was inspired by the song?!
The T shirt is relaxed fitting and has a boxy (wide) fit. It is descibed as been cropped by Topshop but it comes just below my belly button on me. I wear it with leggings or jeans and once i've lost the few pounds I gained while pregnant I will be pairing it with some denim high waisted shorts or a nice bodycon skirt; it's very versatile. It's quite a boy-ish design which I think is cute and quirky and I overall love the design!
Price wise, this is rather overpriced at 20 pounds, but it's seriously such amazing quality and so in-season that it's well worth it. It's 100% cotton and really soft and lightweight so it will be ideal for summer or it could be layered under a cardi or blazer. The top is available in sizes 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 and 16. I got a ten, as I wanted it to be slightly baggy, and it's seriously huge on me due to the oversized fit so I would reccomend getting your regular size. The top can be machine washed and washes well. I really like it and would overall reccomend it.
