A lovely dressing gown to curl up in

Up until recently I never wore a dressing gown, it wasn't something I really fancied, however a little while ago I decided that I would like one, something really soft and cosy that I could wear during the evenings, I often only wear a vest top with my pyjama bottoms so during the winter I do find I get a bit cold so a nice fluffy dressing gown would be ideal to keep me warm. My parents actually bought me one and purchased me the F&F Textured Stripe Dressing Gown, it was just what I wanted, not what I would call an old people style dressing gown but at the same time it is lovely and soft and cosy at the same time.

      The Dressing Gown
The F&F Textured Stripe Dressing Gown has quite a traditional style, it wraps around at the front and has a small ribbon inside of it to help secure the two halves together with a larger belt which ties around your waist, this is held in place with two belt loops either side of the dressing gown. The dressing gown has a large shawl style collar with turned up cuffs, these are partially stitched in place, it is described as being around calf length, however this depends on your height, I am about 5ft 4 and it comes a little way below my knee, personally on me this is an ideal length making it lovely and cosy when its cold, another feature of the dressing gown are the two pockets on either side, these are actually quite deep which is handy, I actually find these quite useful when carrying my son upstairs as it means I can put any other item into the pockets and have both hands free to carry Jayden .

The dressing gown is made from a soft fluffy material both inside and out it also has a slight stripe in it where the pile is cut slightly differently to create this effect, it is made from 100% polyester, the one I have is a pale pink colour, but online you can also purchase it in white, I'm not sure if any other colours are available as mine was a present and purchased in store.

      Care Information
I did wonder how clean I would managed to keep the dressing gown as it was a pale colour, I also have a bit of a bad reputation when it comes to keeping my pyjamas clean, I am always staining them with make up, however I was pleased to see that this product was machine washable so if I did get make up down it I could put it straight in the machine before it stained, also with a baby nothing stays clean for long.

Since having my F&F Textured Stripe Dressing Gown it has been washed a few times, I have also put it in the tumble dryer to dry it quickly so that I have it clean and dry for the evening, I have been very pleased with how well it has washed, I just put it in on a 30 to 40 degree wash with other items of a similar colour and then dry it on a low heat in the tumble drier and it still looks as good as new. The fabric has remained soft and fluffy and has not flattened or gone hard at all, it really does look as it did when it was first purchased.

      Sizing
The F&F Textured Stripe Dressing Gown comes in 3 sizes, Small, Medium and Large. Normally I would opt for the Medium size, however my Mum and Dad purchased it in the Large as when it comes to my pyjamas I hate wearing anything too tightly fitting and often go for the next size up so they are a little looser. Whilst in the Large the dressing gown is too big for me I actually like it like this, it means I can wrap it right around me securing it in place with the belt, the sleeves are a little long, but again they do not ride up when I move around and I can tuck my hands up inside them if they are cold. I am glad they went for the bigger size as for me it just makes it even more cosy to wear.

      Price and Availability
The F&F Texture Stripe Dressing Gown is only available from Tesco as it is part of their own clothing range, this product is sold for £14.00 which personally I think is very reasonable, I have seen very similar items sold in other stores for a lot more. I also think this is a reasonable price as the item is of an excellent quality and very well made, it is in my opinion worth the money.

      My Opinion
I have been extremely pleased with my F&F Textured Stripe Dressing Gown, it is the perfect thickness, it keeps me lovely and warm during the cold evenings and the fluffy fabric inside and out is lovely and cosy. The dressing gown has remained in excellent condition despite being washed on several occasions and is of an excellent quality. I was pleased that I decided to get a dressing gown as it really has done its job and stopped me from being cold in the evenings. I would highly recommend this item to anyone.
