“ Brand: Tesco / Type: Leggings „
I consider myself to be quite knowledgeable when it comes to leggings! I wear them most days, wear them out of an evening and find them very versatile and easy to dress up and down and to be comfortable in. Up until more recent times I tended to buy £3.00 a pair ones from Primark to wear in the day however recently I have found them to really lack quality and that the black ones were going see through on me rather quickly making them not very cost effective at all. I have always paid more for leggings I like to wear of an evening but for day times I don't want to break the bank on a pair simply for most of the time lounging around in!
Now I love buying clothes from supermarkets. They are affordable and I like the fact I can buy all the stuff I want under the same roof and budget for doing so....usually meaning I come out with less food than intended but plenty of clothes lol.
I bought a pair of these last year for £6.00. I only spotted them in the colour option that I bought them in which was black and they were on sale in sizes 8-18 however a quick look online shows me that these can be bought up to a size 28 however whether those sizes are only available to purchase on line or not I'm not sure as I only saw them instore up to a size 18.
As soon as I picked them up to look at them I liked the soft and thickish feel they had to them. I did quickly try them on as I am never sure about the length on me in leggings as Im 5.8 and don't wear boots all the time so it does matter where they finish on me!
In style these are very simple indeed. They are made from 95% Viscose, 5% Lycra and Elastane which makes them quite stretchy and although stretchy the material doesn't appear thin when on. The seams go up the inside leg and the band around the waist is stretchy. Usually I am a size 12 at the moment in clothes and that's the size I opted for when I bought them and they are a great fit on me. The thing that worried me about these was the length more than anything of course and I find these to sit just below my ankle with no ride up and so a great length for me though these are available in a petite fit too if you need those.
They are fully machine washable and I simply wash mine on a 40c wash and although I have done this often these show no signs of colour fade, shrinkage or bobbling. They are not suitable for tumble drying due to containing elastane however I simply allow them to air dry which doesn't take very long at all and because they are leggings they don't need ironing which is a bonus!
All in all I love these leggings. they give my legs a nice flattering shape, they don't go baggy at the knees and bum after wearing them a few hours and they are easy to take care of and so in my humble opinion are very worth their £6.00 price tag!
Only available from Tesco.
Jeans are comfortable enough for outdoor activites but, as a university student, I tend to spend most of my time inddors (especially in lecture halls or classrooms) and wearing jeans easily become uncomfortable and restricting as the day goes on. Therefore, I have grown accustomed to wearing leggings with long tops or baggy jumpers daily. I own many pairs of leggings, some are good whereas some are of such bad quality I have to throw them out after wearing a few times. Fortunately, these F&F (Florence & Fred) True leggings from Tesco are the good leggings.
Even though I do most of my grocery shopping at Tesco, by the time I finish shopping for food, I don't really have spare time to look at clothes. However, when I first started out at university, I was in a hurry and forgot to bring enough pairs of leggings and ended up buying several pairs of F&F True leggings.
One of the things that first attracted me to these leggings is their price. Each pair costs £6.00, a price tag that is comparable with those from Primark. I do own leggings from Primark and they are very disappointing so I didn't have much hope for these F&F true leggings, however I am very pleased and surprised to have been proven wrong.
From my experience, these leggings have a comforable stretch and very durable. They are made of 95% cotton and 5% elastane. I have own my 3 pairs of leggings, two black and one brown, for over 2 years now and they are still wearable. They do show a slight abnormal stretch to it and the elasticity of the material isn't as strong as new, but I can still wear them after 2 years which is good enough for me. Bear that in mind that I have washed these leggings so many many times over the 2 years that I have lost count. I wash them in 40 degree and they can endure that tumble drying as well.
These F&F True leggings comes in various sizes from 8-18 and they have quite a selection of colours. The black leggings are more durable in my opinion as they don't look as worn out as the brown pairs I own, however it may be something to do with the depth of the colour/dye as well.
Another good point is that these leggings keep me warm during winter months. I wear them with boots, flats, sneakers and every other type of shoes I own. Sometimes, when I didn't wash my jogging bottoms in time, I wear these leggings instead when I work out. Therefore, these are very versatile as well.
Oveall, I am very pleased with the quality of this product. Given the countless number of times I have worn them, I have to say that I certainly got my money's worth. I recommend this product to anyone.
Thank you for reading and reviewing. :) x
I love leggings and at weekends I live in them. They are so practical, versatile and very comfortable. I have had a few different pairs of leggings from New Look and not been too impressed with the quality as they have split when they have been washed a few times. The best ones I have bought have to be my Florence and Fred (Tesco) leggings, which are called TRUE and cost me £6 each. I have three pairs of these leggings, in total and a they are all the same colour (black) as I feel that black as a colour, goes with just about everything.
I have had these leggings for a couple of years now and they look just as good now as the day I bought them. I like 'full length' leggings. By this, I mean the ones that come right down to the ankle and not those half-mast type things that sit mid way down the calf and chop your legs off and look as though you have stumps instead of legs. The longer ones are obviously warmer, too, and great for wearing with boots and a nice thick wooly jumper at weekends when we go for walks with the dog.
The reason I like TRUE leggings from F&F is because they fit so well. They are made from %5 elastane and 95% cotton. They stretch perfectly and fit nicely right round the bot and hip area and what's more - they DON'T fall down. With my New Look ones, I felt that I was forever having to hitch them up all day long, whereas my TRUE F&F ones stay put all day long.
I also like that they are seam free and basically just so comfortable to wear. I have washed these leggings more times than I care to remember. I always wash them at 40 degrees, line dry them (weather permitting) and I never even have to iron them as they just bounce right back into shape each and every time and as they contain elastane they really need no pressing at all.
For only £6 a pair, I have been really delighted with these leggings and there is no sign of wear or tear as yet. They are practical, versatile, really well made and affordably priced, so what more could I possibly ask for?
I have bought items from the Tesco F & F range and have been quite impressed with both the quality and style. Not only that but most items on sale in the Tesco clothing range and reasonable priced. I like to have a couple of pairs of leggings in my wardrobe as I think they are really useful as they are easy to wear and also very comfortable. I like to wear leggings at the end of the day when I am relaxing at home. They are also good to wear when I exercise. I always pack a pair of leggings when I go on holiday as they take up little space, dry quickly and don't need to be ironed.
Whilst browsing the clothing section of my local Tesco a few months ago I picked up a pair of black *true* leggings. The leggings come in sizes 8-18 and cost just £6. The leggings are made of 95% cotton and 5% elastane. They are fairly thick and seam free. They have an elasticated waist and are full length.
I have now worn these leggings on numerous occasions and am really pleased with then. They keep their shape well and don't sag as some leggings are prone to do! I wash then on a 40 degree wash and they wash well and haven't faded. The leggings come to just above my ankle ( I am 5 foot 5 ) and look good when worn with boots and a long jumper. They are thick enough to be worn in the colder weather too.
Overall I can highly recommend these leggings and think they are a real bargain!
When the weather started to turn colder I decided that I needed to go out and buy myself some new winter clothes, last year I was pregnant with my Son so didn't really bother buying much so this year a lot of my older winter clothes were looking a bit shabby. During a recent trip to our local large Tesco supermarket I decided to have a quick look around the clothing section, I have purchased one to two items from there before and have always been pleased with them so I decided to see what they had. I actually had a look at the leggings, this is an item of clothing that I haven't worn since I was a child and really didn't think they would suit me, however I decided to try them on anyway and actually ended up buying a pair, this was an item of clothing I really didn't expect to be coming home with.
I purchased the F&F True Leggings although there were many different ones available, these leggings are basically plain black, they are a block colour and the material they are made from is reasonably thick so that when they are stretched over your legs you cannot see through them, I have seen a lot of people wearing leggings and you can actually see through them which in my opinion is not a good look so my main concern was whether you could see through them, however with this particular pair I did not have to worry and everything was well covered.
The F&F True Leggings have an elasticated waist and come down to stop just above your ankle, obviously the length depends on how tall you are as these only come in one length, however for me I felt they were an ideal length as it meant I could wear them with shoes or boots and they looked good with both. These leggings are made from 95% cotton and 5% lycra elastane, the fabric is very comfortable and flexible so despite being tight fitting you can easily move around without discomfort.
Caring for the F&F True Leggings is very easy, they can be washed in a normal 30 to 40 degree cycle. Since purchasing my leggings they have been worn and washed several time and they still look as good as new, the colour has not faded at all, I also wondered whether the fabric might go a bit bobbly, however this was not the case and it is still as it was when I purchased them. Most importantly when the leggings were washed they did not loose their shape, stretch or shrink at all.
The F&F True Leggings come in a range of sizes, in the Tesco store where I purchased them from they came in sizes 8 to 18, however online these leggings go up to size 24, I'm not sure if the larger sizes are available in store, this depends on which branch you go to.
As I have mentioned I purchased the F&F True Leggings from Tesco, they cost me just £6.99, I was very pleased with the price of these, especially as I didn't know how I would get on with them when I purchased them. However I am now even more pleased that I have had a lot of wear out of them as I certainly have got my moneys worth. Despite the cheap price they are very well made and of an excellent quality so definitely worth the money.
Overall I have been very pleased with my F&F True Leggings, as I have said I do not normally wear leggings, but since purchasing these I have had a lot of wear out of them, I do find that leggings are not very flattering or forgiving so when I wear mine I prefer to wear a slightly longer and looser top so that they are more flattering. They leggings are extremely comfortable to wear and are very versatile, you can wear them casually or smarten them up with some heels and a nice top. The leggings are cheap to buy and in my opinion well worth the money, they are hardwearing and easy to care for. I would highly recommend the F&F True Leggings and would definitely purchase them again should they become available in other colours.
