Popular and stylish clothing at mid-range prices (Fred Perry)

Advantages: Not too expensive for the quality, popular, good quality

Fred Perry used to be a proffesional tennis player back in the 1940s. Shortly after his retirement Perry started his own brand of tennis clothing and accessories, over the years the range of sports clothing has changed into a much more fashionable brand. At the core of Fred Perry, the tennis element still remains within, but thre is a fashionable element over the top.

Fred Perry sell a variety of clothes. They have actual tennis gear that is used by many proffesionals, a good example being Andy Murray. But at the same time they have many fashionable items, which are still themed around tennis. The main Fred Perry items are polo shirts, and plimsole shoes. Both of these ranges are exceptional in terms of quality, I own at least one of each item. Every Fred Perry item appears to have the logo embedded on the front.

In terms of durability I would have to say that the clothing is strong and durable, the shoes are another story. While they look very nice and are certainly fashionable, you could not play any proper sports in them (I am talking about the fashion side of Perry, not the sports gear). This is certainly ironic as they originated as sports shoes and are still based on the concept, but it does hurt after a few minutes to run in the shoes. The top of the soles in mine came out after about 2 weeks, to my dissapointment.

The pricing is reasonable with Fred Perry. It is a premium brand, and as a result all the of the clothing is at a mid-price range, an example being a pair of shoes which would typically set you back around £30 - £40.

So in summary I think that Fred Perry clothing is very stylish (especially among the younger generations), and is also affordable. The only downfall seems to be the durability of some of the non-sport products, which is not very good. But I would still recommend any Fred Perry clothing, as it is very popular.

Summary: I would certainly recommend Fred Perry to any potential buyers out there.
