Advantages: Comfortable, wash well, I got them cheap
Disadvantages: One leg length, doubled in price
I practically live in jeans these days, but don't find them flexible or comfortable for around the house. I saw these in Asda from their clothing brand George in a variety of colours and decided I had to try some as they were only £4.
When I got my first pair I was shopping with my mum who was nagging in my ear when I picked up the black pair about how much I aspire to look like the grim reaper with all my black clothing so I put the black back and picked up some navy blue ones.
I got them home and when I put them on I was really impressed with the size, they fit really well around the waist, there is a large, slightly elasticated band around the top which also has a drawstring. Normally I find jogging bottoms loose around the waist and have to tighten the drawstring but these ones stay up nicely without being too tight and the band is really comfortable. They also fit nicely around my bum, again something I struggle to find and normally end up with a saggy looking behind.
The legs are roomy which is what I wanted, although a little on the short side for me.The leg length is 31" and with flats I'd normally go for 32". They don't look ridiculously short, I could wear them to the shop if I wanted, but when I sit down and the leg rises a bit I find they look far too short. They could do with having a range of leg lengths especially in styles such as these which I imagine they sell a lot of.
I loved them anyway for lounging around in at home and after several months the navy looked the exact same as it did when I bought them. They washed really well with no sign of wear or fading. If I've got my legs up on the sofa when I stand up I get big saggy knee sections but as soon as they are washed they go back to their normal shape.
I loved these so much that I went shopping again (with mother again) and picked them up in grey. These are the same, very comfortable and wash really well. I'm just waiting to visit Asda alone so I can get some in black.
The grey are very casual and sporty looking but the black and navy are less sporty looking and would go with much more.
The bottoms aren't too wide but easily go over trainers and look really good.
They are 70% cotton and 30% polyester.
For comfort, look, price and the fact that no elasticated parts cut off the circulation I would give these 5 stars, unfortunately I'll have to take one off for them only being available in regular length, petite and longer lengths would be a good addition.
Looking on the George website to see what other colours are available I can only see the navy, light (grey) and black and they seem to have doubled in price to £8. For this I think I will knock off another star as even though it's still not a bad price I think doubling the price of a seemingly unchanged product is too much of a price jump.
Summary: I live in these, they are really comfortable
