Advantages: Everything you could need, super low prices, good quality.
Disadvantages: unisex changing room in my branch of asda. but thats it.
I love George at Asda.
I live near a rather large branch of asda, and every time I go shopping for milk, come out with a new wardrobe.
Well, not quite...but it is hard for my to buy my food, and not pop into George for a well priced item or two.
George clothes are incredibly cheap, and suprisingly well made.
Many a time have I bought clothes from more expensive high street stores, and watched the hem unravel, or the seam fray, but this has never happened to me with a George item.
Most importantly, for me, is the George range of underwear.
Im a big busted gal, and struggle to find my size bra (36E) in high street shops, without having to pay an extortionate price.
Not so at asda.
You can buy a basic black plunge bra, in sizes 36 D to 40F, for £6.00.
£6.00!
Prices do vary.
The Katie Price range for example. Expect to pay around £16.00 for a bra, in sizes 32D to 36G.
Still, £16.00 is pretty cheap for an over the shoulder boulder holder.
I have to stress again, its near impossible to find larger sized bras on the high street.
Topshop for instance go up to a 36D, yet you will be pushed to find this size in any branches on the highstreet, and on the website, 36D is almost always listed as *out of stock*.
Miss selfridge also only lists sizes up to a 36D.
New look is better, offering bras up to 38DD, at similarly affordable prices, but again, on their website, all larger bras are listed as out of stock.
There is no fitting service at asda, that I know of, so the best thing to do is take a selection, and try them on. Bra size changes according to shop, and testing the fit yourself is the best plan.
always make sure that your boobs are not spilling out of the cup (dreaded four boob), and that the bra band is snug around your back, but not pinching, and level with the front of your bra.
if the back rides up, you need a smaller band size. if the cups are too small, go up a cup size.
Ive found that changing rooms is asda are usually well attended, clean, well lit, with flattering mirrors.
The changing rooms at my asda are unisex, which is a little off putting, but the curtains always close securely, so no need to worry about flashing.
So. Apart from the bras, George sells a great selection of womens clothing.
The G21 range is fashionable, and affordable. More trendy and young than the other ranges.
G21 clothes range from size 4-18.
Thats a bigger size range than most other high street shops.
For a tea dress (40's style) from the G21 range, you will pay £12.00.
George *plus size* range, holds sizes 18-28, and the clothes are both fashionable, and affordable.
George sells everything, from swimwear to knitwear.
There are seperate sections devoted to nightwear, shoes and accessories.
George also sells menswear, and childrens clothes, yet I feel less equipped to comment in these sections.
You can shop at George online.

So, if you need a bigger bra, or a size 4 dress, and feel the high street is a barren wasteland, hop in to asda. You might be suprised.
Summary: Superb selection of larger size bra's, clothes ranging from size 4-28.
