Advantages: Nice simple dress, nice quality
Disadvantages: Odd sizing for us gals, only one colour option, no strap option
With the nice summery weather we have been having lately I have been updating my wardrobe a little and looking for cooler things to wear. I love buying myself new stuff and Asda is perfect for me having clothes and things in my price range and usually good quality and I simply put it in with my weekly shopping so I don't even notice what I'm spending half the time lol.
This dress comes in sizes xs, s, m, l and xl. This means the sizes are the extra small is a 6, the small is an 8-10, medium is 12-14, large is 16-18 and the extra large size is a 20-22. This is actually guess work on my part because the sizing is just as I have mentioned so I do advise you that if your not sure to try this one on in store as I did though you can order this from Asda.com if you prefer.
This dress is only available at the moment and as far as I am aware in a rich turquoise colour and made of 5% Polyester and 35% Viscose which means that it is fully machine washable (up to 40c) and tumble dry safe.
Style wise this is a very simple and basic looking dress. It has no straps to it and the top part of the dress is referred to as 'sheared' which to me means and looks elasticated then the skirt section is plain and smooth and slightly flared to the waist so rather flattering for most body shapes. Its nicely made and finished and very simple to look at and because the top part is elasticated and slightly stretchy looking if you want to iron it you only need to do the skirt part.
This one on me stays up well on the top section and the skirt hem of the skirt comes to just below my knees and I'm about 5.8 in height. However in the wind this does flare up and show your pants (trust me, I'm right on this one!) so do be warned about that!
For me this is very casual daytime dress and I think its great for the beach which I live by. Thick enough not to be see through and soft to wear, I don't have a huge bust and this stays up perfectly though again I would be careful if your top heavy!
Its nice enough this, costs only £7.00 and although I wash and wear mine often its stayed in perfect shape not faded and hasn't bobbled at all!
Recommended from me!
Summary: A great buy just watch yourself if your top heavy ladies!!
