      Up there with M & S underwear

I love pretty underwear, and can't resist buying new lacy underwear that catches my eye. I have bought underwear from Asda before and have always thought the quality was very good. I saw the no VPL thongs in Asda about 2 months ago. They were on offer, 3 for £6, so of course I had to buy 3 pairs. If you buy them individually, they cost £2.50. For anyone who doesn't know no VPL means no visible panty line.

Asda seem to bring new colours into stock quite regularly, but at the time of buying this underwear, the colours they sold were: coral, grey, red and nude. I bought the first three colours mentioned.

Having just had a quick look on the Asda website, if you are not a thong girl, and prefer french knickers, they sell the no VPL french knickers in purple, dark green, light green, burgundy, chocolate and white. Although the 'green' isn't garish and nasty looking like it sounds, i would say the light green actually looks like light blue, and the dark green is a Forrest green colour.

The thongs come in sizes 8-22 and are made of 93& Nylon and 7% Elastane. In terms of the no VPL, I was wearing a tight dress and got my boyfriend to check for me. He said he couldn't see my underwear, so they passed that test.

The thongs have a seam running up the middle of the knickers, which may irritate some people, but I didn't have any problems with it. The gusset is made of a small diamond shaped piece of material. Sometimes, with cheaper underwear that is made of lace, it can be a bit scratchy and uncomfortable, but the Asda no VPL thongs are extremely comfortable to wear.

In the past with some cheaper lace knickers, once they have been washed a few times, I have found bits of the elastic in the lace start poking out making them look untidy. However the Asda no VPL thongs have not done that yet, and I have had them 2 months and wear them a lot.

I really like these knickers and would definitely buy some more once mine have seen better days

      So so!

Recently a mate of mine bought me some new pants for my birthday. With me constantly moaning I needed new undies and in moving flats me mislaying all of mine somehow she treated me to a few new pairs she knew I'd been looking at in our local Asda store.

I like lacy styled shorts and these came in a variety of colours from white to black and plenty of colours in between all at £2.50 a pair (or currently at the time of writing this review on offer at any 3 pairs for £6.00). In sizes 8-20 all are made from 93% Nylon and 7% Elastane and are full machine washable and tumble dry safe too.

These are more a brief style than a short style with highish cut legs. Slightly see-through in places (being lace of course) there is one seam to the centre of each side of the briefs and a small diamond shaped gusset to inside of the pants for a little extra protection.

My friend bought these for me in a lilac shade and herself a pair in a bright red shade. We both found them to be true to size and soft and very comfortable on. The detailing is pretty and they are very well finished with no hanging bits or anything adverse like that at all.

They have roomy legholes and a slightly stretchy waist though nothing too much so and I don't find them to roll down although they are rather low cut.

For me these are slightly old fashioned looking pants though and a bit too plain for my liking and as I stated earlier in this review I do prefer short styles at the moment. They wash and wear well though and will last a good while its just the style that I'm not overly fussed about.

Only available in Asda stores or from Asdadirect.com
