“ Brand: Asda - George / Type: Dressing Gown „
I was bought this dressing gown by my husband at Christmas and find that I wear it every day and it is very comfortable.
It is a long one, I am only short (5ft 2) and it comes to about half way down my calf. I like them being long as I find the short ones are not as snuggly and don't keep as much of me warm as these nice long ones. It is hooded but I don't tend to use the hood, not to put it on my head anyway but if I've had a shower and I have damp hair I kind of roll the hood up a little to protect my neck from getting cold from damp hair so it is better than not having a hood!
It has a nice long 'belt' which goes through a few hoops to keep it in place. Sometimes this does come untied whilst I'm walking around or it becomes a bit lose so I'm always careful to check it when I stand up!
I normally have dressing gowns which are bright colours but my husband bought me this in a cream colour. I actually really like it, it's nice to have something which is really understated instead of bright blues and greens.
It is really soft and comfortable. When I wear my dressing gown it's usually because I've just woken up and not yet got dressed so it's nice to have the comfort of something warm to wrap round me before the house warms up or it's because I've had a bath and I'm going to unwind before going to bed so it's also nice to have something warm and snuggly around me.
I was this every few weeks and it hasn't lost it's length or become coarse, it's still really nice and fluffy to touch which is nice and comforting.
I really like this and find it really comforting. It's a really good length and good quality too.
I received this dressing gown as a Christmas gift from a member of my husband's family. It was really well timed as my previous dressing gown had gone a bit threadbare and scratchy on the skin in places, and I was considering buying myself a new one anyway. The one I received is in a purple/mink colour, which is a nice change from my usual pink. The Asda website describes it as "Chocolate".
The name of the dressing gown gives it away a little, in that it is hooded and supersoft. It is made from 100% polyester, and is incredibly fluffy feeling lovely and soft against the skin. It's very comfortable, and I have already had a fair bit of use out of it during the Christmas break. The one I received is a Medium size, and this is ideal for me as I'm a size 12. I would probably say if you're not sure on size, to go a size bigger, because the Medium doesn't swamp me as I thought it would.
The dressing gown is longer than most I have owned. It goes well past my knees and only leaves a small gap at the bottom of my legs, which are covered by my slipper boots anyway. This means my entire body is cocooned in this dressing gown, keeping me warm on those cold days. I have to admit that my previous dressing gown was hooded, and I don't think I ever felt the need to use the hood, although I guess it's useful to have if you're really suffering in the cold weather.
I washed this dressing gown before wearing it, and it came out of the wash as fluffy as it was when it went in. Obviously, over time this may change, but I imagine the shelf life of most dressing gown is fairly similar as they tend to be made from similar materials. I would always use fabric conditioner when washing this, to ensure it remains soft for as long as possible.
The only slight annoyance with the dressing gown is the pockets, which I find a bit on the narrow side. This means my phone fills one pocket, and then any other bits and bobs I tend to wander round the house with like tissues or lip balms have to go in the left pocket. Not a major inconvenience but being right handed I try not to use the left pockets in garments, but I guess that's just me!
Overall, this is a lovely soft comfortable dressing gown, which is long enough to stop any draughts getting in when I'm lounging round in my PJ's. Being a gift, I don't know how much it was bought for, but the Asda website tells me these dressing gowns currently retail for £14. I think this is a good price and would recommend this dressing gown which comes in a range of colours.

Unfortunately everything these days comes down to is it value for money. This product is.Comfortable, nice and soft material and not too expensive. What more in a dressing gown are you looking for?It wasnt quite as soft after being washed but it was not the worst ive owned.
I own more than a couple of dressing gowns. The reason for this is I like to pop something on over my nightclothes when I get up as my door always is knocked and friends pop round as well as sometimes not feeling well and just wanting to be cosy.
A place I do alot of my shopping at on a weekly basis is my local Asda store. I like being able to do my grocery shopping and buy other bits and pieces all under one roof and the other week I spotted this lovely, fluffy dressing gown and decided that at £18.00 for something that felt and looked such great quality that it had to be mine and that I had to throw my usual old one out as it was disgusting and very much needed upgrading!
I only spotted this instore in a white colour option (and on wwwasdadirect.com) in sizes small, medium, large, and extra large sizes. No size guide is given for this but I think that the size small is a size 8, medium is a 10-12, large 14-16 and the extra large is an 18-20. Please note this is a rough estimation by me and your best really trying this on instore prior to purchasing it really but I have the medium and I'm a size 10 and this has plenty of room within it to fit a size 12 with ease!
Made from 100% polyester and being totally machine washable and suitable for tumble drying, although this is a thick and warm dressing it isn't heavy as such which is good for me considering I have a really bad back!
With a nice large hood and coming to just above ankle length on my 5.8 frame this is simply a wrap around dressing gown, with 3 material hoops to pop the long belt through and two large squarish front pockets to either side of the front of it which are really deep and as the cuff of the gown are slightly ribbed so are the tops of the pockets, for effect. Inside the dressing gown there is a thin white ribbon piece of material to each side of it so you can knot or pop into a bow for extra security when doing it all up and the top sits in a nice small v neck.
This is soft and smooth on and looks fabulous on. My biggest grip with this is that being white its hard to look after and keep clean other than that its a great little winter warmer really worth its price tag. I like the lovely deep pockets on this that I can pop quite alto into securely and I like the softness on my skin and this has actually drawn quite a few compliments too!
£18.00...this is worth available from Asda.
