      It'll do for work

I spotted this top in Asda during a recent shopping trip which resulted in me spending more on clothes than groceries. I needed some new clothes for work, and this looked smart yet not too formal. The top was available in a couple of colours, including red, from what I can remember, but I opted for this one which is blue, bordering on purple almost.

The top is quite a thin, stretchy material, so my concern was that it would be too clingy around the belly area. As it turns out, I don't really notice it clinging as much as I thought it would, and the front of the top with the knotted twist is really flattering and takes attention away from your belly area. Having said that, I do feel better when I have a cardigan on top of this top, just because of the clingy material. I think if you were very self conscious about your belly or any lumps and bumps, I'd probably avoid this top because the fabric is quite clingy and unforgiving. It is available in sizes 8 to 24.

The top is long sleeved, and quite low cut. Personally, I find it a little low cut for work, as I hate having cleavage on display and this top does show a little bit of that, so I tend to wear a nice lace black vest underneath so I feel more comfortable in it. You could wear this outside of work as well, as it would be nice with jeans and it is very flattering around the breast area.

The top is made from 96% viscose and 4% elastane, and I wash on a 30 degree cycle. It comes out of the wash very creased, even if you hang it straight away, so if you're not keen on ironing be warned! It can only be ironed on the lowest setting too, so it's quite difficult to get creases out. The top costs £9 from Asda, and although I sound quite critical of it, it is a welcome addition to my wardrobe.
