Giorgio Armani

Armani has a relatively new range of clothing called "Armani Exchange", it is for people who can't/don't want to splash out on his Emporio/Giorgio Armani collection. The Exchange collection was not something Mr. Armani was fully committed too, hesitant to put his name on the collection, he eventually did. Although the range is missing things like the eagle crest on the pocket, good decent materials that his other lines use and styles that are way over the top; jeans with studs all over them, huge badges saying "xchange" and bits and bobs that put me clean off them. Signor Armani must be a very busy man, as must be Ms. Versace, Messers Boss, Hilfiger. Lauren and Mara. How do they manage to make so many catwalk appearances, television interviews etc. and still design so many clothes from their small ateliers? Of course, they don’t. Unless you are fortunate to be able to afford ‘Haute Couture’ most, if not all, of what you buy off the peg has been designed by some underling in the corporate machine and run up by an under-underling in Taiwan.
