GUESS are a well known, American brand-name, fashion company which specialise in all sorts of fashion, for Men and Women. Paris Hilton and Drew barrymore are previous models for the GUESS brand. GUESS stores can be found around the world, but mainly in America. Guess do clothing for men and women and also do brilliant watches and handbags(or so my sister tells me) I have bought several GUESS items myself, such as my watch cost me $100 and then my mum seen it in the UK for £110, so quite clearly alot cheaper to buy in America, and this was at a time when the £ was strong. Also i have bought brilliant t-shirts from Guess, as well as 1 belt and 1 shirt, which are of superb quality and the belt doesnt seem to scratch at all and you can tell its made from real leather. A brilliant buy, once again from America. My Dad also bought a pair of their famous "stone-washed jeans" which he loves to wear. Bought in America for $50 and notied them in London for £80. So a brilliant buy. My sister has an obsession with their handbags, as do alot of girls i know, why i dont understand. Ok, its fashion i know, but surely they are not worth the prices people pay for them, however my sister says they are a cheap fashion accessory so i will take her word for it. GUESS is a brand with a really high quality of make, belt and shirt have gone through a good wear and show no signs of detioration which im very happy with, although i do not recommend paying British prices as they seem to be higher than American prices even before any conversion is made.
Okay, this is a brand that loves to feature blond, well-endowed babes in provocative poses. I guess, all brands in this nature love to do this to draw more attention to their products. They are everywhere in the malls. The billboards are done tastefully, of course. Companies like these spend millions of dollars in advertising alone. Guess is a very coveted brand in the Philippines. There are existing competitions in the market but this is the most popular since they have a lot of outlets. Every time I feel the urge to splurge, which is not very often, I would always check out their boutiques. This is not a cheap brand but they hold sales all year round. I think it is because of the price that there are always old stocks left whenever newer stocks arrive. I love their pants because they fit really well. They're skinny jeans are super comfortable and sexy. I love wearing skinny jeans. They make my legs look a mile longer. Compared to Levi's, I find Guess to have a better fit and they always reinvent their style catering more to the taste of hip and young consumers. My recent purchase was a colour black skinny jeans. They're just plain with the patented triangle and the symbol ? in it at back right-hand pocket. Other styles have studs, patches, zippers here and there, and what-not. The prices vary with each intricate design. Other popular brands like Levi's and Mossimo are too boring for me. Although, if someone would give me something from either of these two brands, I'd gladly accept it. Just wishing. There's a wide range of other items that Guess produces. They have watches, which I don't have. They're not really to my taste and I don't think they will endure the test of time. They also have wallets and handbags. These, I should say, are really gorgeous. I love how playful they get with each design. I am eyeing this piece of eye-candy and I am going to get one for Christmas. We all go shopping this Christmas, right? Those little G's are so eye-catching. They also have shoes which, I should say, are hard to find. Also, dresses and tops which are a little bit overpriced although trendy. I have this long-sleeved sheer blouse that has brown, gold, and gray stripes that I still love wearing to this day. Their belts are really cute, too. Most of the buckles are designed in letter G which makes them identifiable as Guess. I love how belts enhance a simple outfit. We've all seen how they have made a huge comeback recently. They also have Baby Guess, which is well, a line for babies and kids. I have bought two cute tees for my daughter on an impulse because they were on sale. I don't really see the practicality of buying expensive clothes for babies and kids because they are outgrown so quickly. Unless, you are an heiress and you'd rather die than having your baby seen dressed in less than the known brands. Which is a little over the top. I just would like to mention that while we bask in the goodness and pride of being able to acquire such brand, Guess's history is not as pristine as it presents to be. Many major companies like Guess take advantage of the economic crisis in underdeveloped countries by way of sweatshops. We all heard about how it works. While there are always two sides to each story and disadvantages/advantages of sweatshops are still being argued, I feel that as a company who earns huge profits off these labours, it is their duty to pay due wages and benefits. Guess, I want a 50% off in my next purchase! That being said, I think Guess is a worthy purchase but should not be developed as a habit lest you want to drill a hole in your pocket. If you must buy branded products opt for something that can withstand trends and time. Something you can mix and match and is in for the long haul.
Well where do I begin... I absolutely love the brand Guess! I first discovered it when they had Paris Hilton as their model, I've allways loved her style and the moment I saw her layed out in those tight skinny jeans holding the most glamorous bag I was hooked. I brought my first Guess bag, which was a bargain, I paid £55 in the sale, I couldn't have been happier, I had never brought a bag where you get a dust bag with it. The moment the sales assistant handed me the my purchase I couldn't wait to get it out of the shop and on my arm. It is pink with such lovely snakeskin and silver detail, I keep it on display in the dressing room and it is imaculate! If you like something that's alittle out of the ordinary you will love Guess, you couldn't walk into a Guess store and buy a plain black bag or pair of shoes or even jeans-everything in plastered in little G's and everything has so much detail. I could spend ages looking at my bags and I think that is exactley how I would design bags if I could. Their jeans are allways something special as well, don't bother looking if you want a plain old pair because they will be too much for you, they do fantastic glittery ones and all come in such nice shades of denim. Guess shoes are something else as well, they look so special. What I love is putting on a plain black dress and slipping on my little Guess shoes, they are so eyecatching, so many people comment on them. One problem with Guess is that its quite hard to get hold of in the UK, there is a store at BlueWater shopping Centre now though. If your not into Bags and shoes then I would suggest a watch, I own three and everyone is something special, they are all sparkley and the straps are snakeskin. Its another item that people allways notice and comment on. I brought a D&G watch recentley and I still prefer Guess. They make great presents, especially if you want to spoil someone.
If you let me choose my favourite casual wear among all the well-known brands, such as Levi's, Gap, Next and so forth, I will choose Guess. Let me tell you the reason. I have owned each brand one or two clothings including jackets, jeans and perhaps footwear. That gives me a chance to compare each of the branded casual wear. Feels like Guess is not that welcomed in UK (if I am wrong, I apologize here). Perhaps it is because of the price or perhaps the promotion is not that good. I have owned one black jean (which is really my most favourite) of Guess for 4-5 years (I am not showing off how fit I am, in fact I am not). Still the jeans colour remained the same as new (perhaps because it is black in colour). And the quality is so nice and so comfortable. It is not rough, but smooth. I love it indeed. I bought this jean in USA. In addition I love the jacket too.
