H&M is one of my favourite shops for cheap but fashionable clothing. They stock such a wide range of clothes which are right on trend but don’t cost the earth and I think the quality there is better than some other cheaper shops.
I have a couple of cable knit jumpers from H&M which I love and have worn lots during the winter as they are just so cosy. I have one in grey and one in red and they look fantastic with just a pair of jeans and some boots for a casual and comfortable look.
They both cost £14.99 and are made from a mix of 60% cotton and 40% acrylic. They feel soft and snug though maybe not quite as luxurious as if they were 100% cotton but when wearing them with a t-shirt underneath it is almost impossible to tell the difference between them and one that is 100% cotton.
What I really like about them is that they are a lovely shape. I tried some on in a different shop and they just drownt me and made me look as though I had no shape at all. These ones cling to my bust and then flare over my stomach so they are very flattering especially for days when I am feeling a bit floated. The arms also fit nicely as they are loose on the shoulders so they feel super comfortable to wear.
They are very easy to wash and care for too. I just wash them at 30 degrees and then hang them on the clothes drier. I don’t want to tumble dry them incase they shrink but washing them hasn’t shrunk them and they have kept their shape well though they are slightly stretched at the front but this isn’t really noticeable when I am wearing them.
I don't often shop in H&M but a month or so ago I was shopping in there with my daughter and I noticed that some of the clothing was suitable for myself. I had always assumed it was for the youngsters so was pleased to see some nice clothing that appealed to me too. I bought this cable knit jumper, I can't remember the price but It wasn't very much, definitely no more than £14.
The jumper I bought was in size 12, I tried it on first and it seemed like a very good fit. Sometimes I find jumpers are a bit hit and miss and sometimes I need to go for a bigger size to accommodate for the t-shirt underneath it but this jumper is well sized. It was available in various colours and I chose a bergundy colour as I thought it looked suitable for the winter, almost Christmassy as it reminded me of the colour of berries. There were greys and a navy too.
The jumper is cable knit so it has nice pattern on it which I think makes it look interesting, without it, it could just be any old jumper and this cable knit reminds me of the jumpers I used to wear many years ago, again like with lots of fashion it seems to be coming back again! It has a scooping neckline but it isn't too low which is just perfect. I have quite a large chest and the highish neckline and detail with the cable knit pattern doesn't emphasise it so it is ideal for my shape.
The arms of the jumper are full length which i like as I don't see the point in three quarter length sleeves on something which is supposed to keep you warm! The sleeves are nice too, not tight but not silly baggy, a really nice width which makes me very comfortable whilst wearing it.
I have worn this jumper a lot over the last month and find it very comfortable to wear. It's rather soft and it is a very good fit. It falls to about two inches below my hip bone which is a perfect length for me- any longer then it looks like I'm trying to be 'too fashionable' and any higher tends to ride up. When I wear this jumper I feel very comfortable in it and it keeps me warm. The cable knit pattern looks lovely and gives it depth which adds to the ability to keep me warm and toasty.
It has gone through the wash many times and still is in good condition. It hasn't lost it's shape or bobbled up. I know I've owned it around 6 weeks so over the course of time that could change but so far it is very good.
Very pleased that I bought this and I think I will look in H&M again in future!
I bought several of these jumpers in the winter of last year when they were reduced to £5 each & was very pleased with my bargain jumpers!
At full price they retail at a measly £13, which is still an absolute steal when you consider how much shops like Topshop and New Look charge for the same thing!
Although I was skeptical about the quality, I have been extremely impressed with how soft & durable the jumpers are, and I'm pleased to report that after about six months they are all still in one piece and only very slightly bobbly!
They are made from 10% mohair wool and 90% acrylic. Now, Topshop jumpers which are 100% acrylic are more than 4 times the price of these ones, so I was extremely surprised and impressed by the addition of mohair wool, which you'd think would bump the price up!
The design of the jumpers is really nice and basic, they're casual jumpers but still look quite smart rather than being too casual, they don't look slouchy or slobby and look like I've made a bit of an effort even if I just pair them with a pair of leggings or jeggings.
They are obviously long sleeved, with a scooped neck and cable knit detailing. The detailing is nicely designed and looks the same as more expensive jumpers, it doesn't look cheap at all. There are several colours available which includes the basic colours like grey, cream, black etc but there are is also pink, yellow and red.
I have one pink one, one red one (a seriously gorgeous shade of burgundy), a plain cream one and a cream one with black speckles. The pink one has slightly faded in colour because its been worn and washed so often, but it doesn't look worn out or anything, just lighter than it used to be which doesn't bother me!
The jumpers are warm but lightweight and are very versatile - they go with anything, so I've got a lot of wear out of them. The sizing is a bit off - I had to get them all in a size 14 even though I'm a size 12 because the size 12's were much too tight, and the 14's are slightly clingy but other than that I can't fault them & I definitely recommend them!
I had a big clear out the other day and got rid of a lot of old clothing that I won't wear again or haven't worn since purchasing it. I took a lot of the clothing to my local charity shop. I have to admit, that I prefer summer clothing to winter clothing and looking through my wardrobe I seemed to lack jumpers. I thought to myself this is something I must buy especially as the cold weather is creeping up, with the possibility of snow in the next few weeks.

I went into my local H & M store to browse their range of jumpers in there as I often find a lot of jumpers I like from here at a reasonable price; sure enough I saw some beautiful jumpers in here and spent at least £40 in my local store mainly purchasing jumpers. The jumper is a cable knit jumper and comes in a range of colours including Coral, Green, Mole, White and Dark Blue. I instantly loved the bright green colour so purchased this, along with the white one as I thought this would look great with jeans. I also liked the Dark Blue colour but they didn't have my size so I settled for just the 2 colours. The jumpers come in sizes XS, S, M and L. The sizes are displayed slightly different on the website but you can get an idea what these sizes are as XS is 6-8, S 10-12, etc. I am normally a size 6-8 in tops but I didn't want anything too tight so I tried on the Small size and this fit me perfectly without feeling too tight or restricted in the arms. The jumper has a round neck which I sometimes prefer to a V-Neck top. This is a long sleeved jumper so would be ideal for keeping me warm during the cold weather. Priced at £14.99 I thought this was very reasonable for a cable knit jumper and I didn't mind paying this as the jumper looked as though it was very well made.
I have worn the white jumper on a number of different occasions with some light coloured jeans and it looks really nice. The feel and fit of the jumper is really nice and soft against my skin and keeps me nice and warm. The jumper isn't fitted too much about the bust or the stomach area which is also a bonus as it gives me plenty of room to move around and stretch without the jumper feeling too tight. I have only worn the jumper with jeans as I think the jumper looks best worn with jeans. The jumper could be worn with leggings but the jumper itself isn't too long so would only come to the top of your bottom, so if you worry about your bottom in leggings then this isn't the jumper to wear with them. The jumper looks great worn casually with jeans and flat boots, but also looks good when dressed up slightly with jeans and heels. I personally don't think the jumper looks particularly cheap and I think it looks slightly more expensive that £14.99. The jumper mainly has the cable knit detail to the front but also does have a line down the back of the jumper which is cable knit so the back of the jumper doesn't look too plain. I also love the bright green colour that I purchased this jumper in and this also looks great with light coloured jeans and either flat boots or heels. I would definitely consider purchasing the Dark Blue coloured jumper if my local store has it in stock next time I go, if not then I may purchase it from the website in a few weeks' time if they still have them in stock.
As the jumper is made from 60% Cotton and 40% it can be machine washed but must be dried flat. I have washed both the jumpers once and I haven't had any issues with the jumpers stretching, shrinking or bobbling. The jumpers don't take too long to dry outside on a sunny but slightly windy day and they dry fairly quickly on a radiator as well.
Overall I think this is a good quality and good value jumper that comes in a range of beautiful colours and sizes to suit all body sizes. The green and the Coral colours are quite bright and very eye catching but I like this as the colours are quite different and I've not really seen this colour about much. If you are looking for a new jumper to either dress up slightly or wear casually then I highly recommend this jumper. I can't think of anything bad to say about this particular item but if I do then I will be sure to add it.
