Advantages: comfortable, not bad for 20 quid, really stretchy and stylish
Disadvantages: look absolutely tiny at first but they will stretch to fit!
Recently I have always been eyeing up a pair of leather trousers/leggings. Not wanting to get a pair too expensive I had a look on asos and found these Hearts & Bows leather look leggings for £19.99 and they seemed of average value and quality - not on the high end of the price bracket but not on the cheapy scale either lol. So along with a watch (see previous review!) into the basket they went and I awaited my parcel happily.
When they arrived, they were folded in a small plastic wrapping and I have to say they looked absolutely teeny tiny! I have made the mistake of not analysing the picture of an item on the website properly before and bought a pair of leather panelled leggings from missguided which fit like a 12 year old - didn't cover the bum nor reached down to my ankles and were overall a big fat waste of money so when I held these up against me that was my same thought! However, putting them on they did actually fit properly, and were long enough (I'm about 5"5 ish lol) to cover booty and ankles happily lol. I bought a size 10 which is pretty much my general size, but these are REALLY stretchy so although they looked like they would fit someone who is a size 6 they glided on quite easily and fit comfortably.
The design of them is really simple, they look like leather leggings but of course they don't smell nor feel like leather but with these I knew what I was paying for and I think the quality of them is excellent imitation compared to other faux leather clothing items I have owned! They are slightly shiny but not overly so as to look plastic. The leggings have seams that run down the side and down vertical line down the back of the leg which gives a really nice effect. They don't have pockets or anything so for me this is always a small annoyance with bottoms that don't have any storage but I am sure they will get used to it!
I have worn these a couple of times, usually teamed with a lose fitting boyfriend shirt and wedges, but also with a crop top and some heels on an evening out. They are really versatile and for me I can mix and match them with almost any occasion! They are not the warmest of trousers so I do tend to wear tights underneath but nevertheless I love them and I can wear them with ease so for anyone looking for a nice pair of leather look leggings I would definitely recommend these!
Summary: leather look leggings that I love!
