'Hollister' is a brand of clothing made by Abercrombie & Fitch.
Allthough Hollister opened its first store in the States in 1992, there is a fictional story linked to the brand which suggests it has been running since 1922, when J.M. Hollister opened a shop in Southern California. However, this tale is untrue - a fake story designed to add interest and mystery to the company.
Hollister make a variety of clothing, but I have only ever owned their T-Shirts. I especially like these as they are 'muscle-fit', which means they are a little tighter in certain areas, and don't hang as awkwardly off the frame as some cheaper T-shirts do. The important thing to remember when buying a muscle fit product is to purchase a larger size than you normally would. For example, if you're a medium, go for a large, and if you're a large, go for an XL.
Hollister T-Shirts come in a range of colours, and I have always found them to be well made. The cotton is really soft, and they are machine washable. Prices start at around £20 - which isn't bad when you appreciate the quality of the product.
As a make which is actually quite hard to get hold of in the UK, I buy my Hollister products from eBay - however, The Hollister website can be found at www.hollisterco.com, which shows more details of their entire range - I recommend having a look.
Summary: Great Brand
