“ Brand: Internacionale „
Internacional is one of those shops I just have to go into when passing. One week I'll go in and there will be absolutely nothing which takes my fancy and the next week I could happily spend about £500 in there. A few months back I went into one of their stores and realised I wanted pretty much everything but, as I didn't have the money for everything, I settled on this coat instead. I buy myself a new coat every year regardless of the condition of the previous one, last year's coat is still in a fully wearable condition; it's just nice to have a new one!
The coat cost £34.99 although is currently (and typically) in the sale on their website for a slightly cheaper £31.49. Internacional offer a 10% student discount so I was still able to get mine a little cheaper although I'd have still paid full price if need be! I have plenty of experience with clothing items from this store and I do find them to be long lasting and good quality so I find their prices to be pretty reasonable, I've never looked at item in their stores and thought 'I'm not paying that'! £34.99, I think, is a reasonable price for a good quality coat which will see me through winter and look really nice!
The coat is available in sizes 6 to 18 although I do find their sizes come up a little small. I'm usually a size 12 although nearly always end up buying a 14 from here. This coat is no exception and, over my thick jumper I was wearing at the time, I was having real difficultly getting the zip up on the size 12 coat I tried on instore and I thought it best to try a 14 instead. The store had no 14's in stock so I ended up purchasing a 16, I was refusing to leave without this coat! Despite being two sizes bigger than I normally purchase, the size 16 isn't actually that much of a bad fit (not sure if I'm happy about that or not)! It's quite baggy on the shoulders and arms but other than that it looks alright and not obviously too big. As the coat has a drawstring waist it's easy to pull in at the middle to give myself a bit more shape too.
The coat is, to me anyway, absolutely gorgeous. It's a khaki army green colour which I love with these rusty gold coloured star studs along the top of the two breast pockets. It fastens with a zip although has two press studs at the very top so you can fasten this up to your chin if you wish or leave these undone for a turned up collar look instead. The drawstring waist adds a little extra detailing to the middle section of the coat as well as letting you adjust the size and shape of the coat and this will pull in as tight as you want it. The bottom section of the coat contains two really deep and very decently sized pockets which are great for keeping smaller items such as my phone, keys and cigarettes in whilst also leaving enough room for my hands. It's a very casual looking coat and I find it pretty much goes with any other casual looking clothes. I like to wear mine with a pair of skinny jeans tucked into my Docs to create a 'grungy' type style.
The coat perhaps is best suited to an autumn coat rather than winter. Whilst it does keep me nice and warm it's not very thick and it doesn't have a hood either so when the proper cold weather comes I think I'll be tempted to wear something heavier or at least add a few layers underneath this!
The quality of the coat is, as expected, good though. I've worn mine pretty much daily for the last three months and it's still in perfect condition and I just cannot see it ripping or the zip breaking etc anytime soon. It's been washed a good few times now and the colour hasn't faded and none of those star studs have fallen off and they're usually the first to go!
All in all this is a really nice coat, it's good quality, looks lovely on and is a great colour all for a reasonable price. I give it five stars.
