Jane Norman mixed stripe jumper dress

I tend to buy quite a lot of the Jane Norman tops and jumpers when they are in the sale as I find they are usually good value, wash well and serve me well for wearing at work.

I ordered this from the website and given that I had ordered quite a few tems the delivery charge of £3.95 was ok value for money, especially as they all arrived well packed after 3 days.

The jumper itself was originally £35 and then reduced down to £15, so given the wear and tear my clothes tend to take at work, this would definitely be good value if it lasts as long as some of the other Jane Norman jumpers I have bought.

The jumper is advertised as a jumper dress although since it just skims the bottom, I wear it with leggings and knee high boots. The jumper dress is a vertical striped design, made more stylish by the fact that the stripes are mixed and of different widths, so there are narrow and wide stripes in camel, black and white. It has a drapey cowl neck which is high enough to keep my neck warm but not overly high like a polo neck jumper so I don't feel "trussed up". It is nicely fitted and so gives a nice shape when worn with leggings, but because the material feels soft, the jumper doesn't feel tight or restrictive.

When originally on sale, the jumper dress was available in sizes 6-14. I have a size 10 as I tend to find that some of the tops run a little on the small size.

One of the great things about the jumper is the fact that it is 100% acrylic. Although there is no wool in the jumper, it still keeps me warm on colder days and perhaps because there is no wool, it doesn't make me feel overly warm now that the weather is getting warmer. A real plus for me is that it can be washed in the washing machine, so I don't have to fork out on dry cleaning or find somewhere to dry it flat after hand washing. In fact, with this jumper, I find that after a 30 degree wash, I can just hand the jumper to dry and it doesn't even need to be ironed- definitely a result!

**What I think of the jumper...**

I have had this jumper now for quite a while and it has been really good value. Its looks nice and cosy when teamed with leggings and boots and I have also worn it with skinny jeans although I didn't like this as much because it is quite fitted and the outline of the jeans button could be seen, so not tremendously streamlined.

It washes well and even after many washes, there is no sign of bobbling.

For me this has been a really good buy. Recommended.

      Thanks for reading
