      Cardigan

      Pale grey long line cardigan

One of my recent Jane Norman purchases, which I bought with several other items because shipping is the same regardless of number of items. I usually buy a lot of the tops and jumpers as they do me for work, and I know that the size 10 is a true size 10 and will usually fit. I try not to buy anything online that may not fit as I have to pay for returns and I think that having paid £3.95 for postage I shouldn't have to pay to send something back.

However, that said, this was in the sale, originally priced at £35 and I bought it for £15, so not expensive for something which is machine washable and even after several washes has no bobbling or fluffy bits. The material is 37% cotton, 1% elastane, 17%nylon, and 45% viscose. The material is soft and quite warm and comfortable to wear, although for me this is definitely a spring and summer cardigan and not something I would wear in the depths of winter as it wouldn't be warm enough.

The cardigan is advertised as being "Chanel lady-like sophistication", and it is a little like the Chanel styles I have seen. It is a nice silver/pale grey long line cardigan with a deep V neck. The cardigan has round grey and silver coloured buttons on the front and on the cuffs and comes with a skinny grey patent belt. The cardigan is designed to be sleek and not baggy and is long enough to wear over leggings although for this I tend not to wear a belt as it lifts the cardigan just a bit too much to be comfortable. The sleeves are slightly longer length than on some cardigans and the small button sits on the cuff adding a bit of detail which I like.

The cardigan is available in sizes 6 to 16, and in my opinion, Jane Norman tops and knitwear tend to be true to size.

      VERDICT...

A sleek and quite elegant cardigan which looks good teamed with a dress leggings or jeans. It is smart enough to wear at night and can be dressed down and worn as weekend wear. Nice and comfortable and reasonably priced, this has been a good buy. The only thing I don't like is the belt as I think it looks cheap so I tend to wear a different belt.

Recommended if you can find it in the sale.

      Thanks for reading
