Choosing the perfect pair of jeans for your shape can be such a mission at times. There are a few basic rules to consider: --IF YOU HAVE SHORT LEGS-- - Opt for a high waisted pair, when you wear these with a simple t-shirt tucked in it creates an effect that elongates your figure. A pair of skinny jeans with a high waist are extremely flattering, but you may have to get them tailored so they are the right length for you. - Some brands have skinny jeans with zips at the ends, these are good when worn over shoes. A good brand to try for these is Ksubi. --IF YOU HAVE LARGE THIGHS-- - A dark wash is the most flattering, dark blue ... Read the complete review

Now, I'm not going to tell you all about the history of denim or how to find the most flatttering kind of jeans for your figure - there are already excellent reviews on the site that tell you just that, and I don't think I could add anything to that. Recently, I've been losing weight - and I've dropped a dress size ! While thats great , its meant that several pairs of jeans (and various other items of clothing) have become to big for me . Not wanting to waste money by binning them, I've been experimenting with customising them and turning them into useful items again , and I thought I'd share some of the things I've done! Jeans ... I do not know where i would be without my jeans i have so many pairs in my wardrobe, you can dress you jeans up for a night out or you can dress them down so you can be casual. Jeans look great with my Timberlands or with a pair of strappy sandals they go with everything. There is a wide variety of brands of jeans out there to buy today and in a variety of prices. Some of the brands out there are Levi's, Rock and Republic which are Victoria Beckhams, Diesel, Miss Sixty, French Connection, Replay and G-Star. Youy can also get cheaper pairs i never thought about buying cheap pairs of jeans, but that i stumbles across a £6 pair from pirmark that fit to ... Read the complete review

I love jeans and have worn them nearly all my life, my first being Levis when they were the best of the brands around at the time. Others that were available were Wranglers, Lee Cooper and Brutus but it was Levis that everyone wanted. My first pair cost £2 9s 11d which, in today's money, is just under £3. They are a lot more expensive nowadays. They were available in just one shade then, a sort of stonewash. The most important thing to do with them once you had purchased them was to get them to 'shrink to fit'. If you lived by the sea, as I did, this involved wearing them in the sea and then lounging around on the beach until they dried, much to the horror of ... Read the complete review

Well where do I start? I own over 15 pairs for maximum variety, with a mixture of hues, styles and sizes. I reckon there's a pair out there to suit everyone, but I tend to get mine from Topshop, Miss Sixty and Diesel. However, I rarely pay full price for my branded denim. I would recommend going to one of the outlets just outside of some big cities to get some decent brands. Bicester Village in Oxfordshire has Diesel, Levis, Earl, DvB, Ralph Lauren, DKNY and Miss Sixty to name a few, so at least you won't have to pay crazy high street prices as they can be up to 70% off (I once got a Firetrap pair for £15). There are always lots of styles in stock, and you can get ... Read the complete review
