Advantages: cheaper than high street, lots of choice

Disadvantages: a longer journey

Well where do I start? I own over 15 pairs for maximum variety, with a mixture of hues, styles and sizes. I reckon there's a pair out there to suit everyone, but I tend to get mine from Topshop, Miss Sixty and Diesel. However, I rarely pay full price for my branded denim. I would recommend going to one of the outlets just outside of some big cities to get some decent brands. Bicester Village in Oxfordshire has Diesel, Levis, Earl, DvB, Ralph Lauren, DKNY and Miss Sixty to name a few, so at least you won't have to pay crazy high street prices as they can be up to 70% off (I once got a Firetrap pair for £15). There are always lots of styles in stock, and you can get something that's a bit different to what everyone else is wearing. I would recommend Miss Sixty and Diesel for more distressed effects, stitching and pocket details and Levis for more casual styles.

The only thing is that these outlets can take a bit longer to reach than your average high street, but there are a few round the country such as Mc Arthur Glen, which has branches in Ashford and Cheshire. It might be good to travel up with a few friends, to split petrol costs, and look on it as a day out to stock up on a few denim necessities.

My Must haves:

Boyfriend Fit: A slouchy pair that sits low on the hips, for those relaxed days at home.

Skinny Fit: Can be worn at uni everyday tucked into boots or teamed with heels for a night out.

Straight Fit: For everyday, but not as skin-tight if you are self concious about your legs.

Summary: never pay full price!
