This is just a little rant as I find buying jeans so annoying.
Now I love jeans. The right pair look great in any circumstances, shopping in the supermarket, a midweek drink in the pub, a trip to the cinema, walking the dog, a lazy Sunday pub dinner, a girly Saturday night out or a romantic meal with the man of your dreams. They are so versitile and can be worn with anything and dressed up or down.
Now the problem is with the actual fit of jeans. I find trousers are a pain to buy as I am only 5ft 2. I have tried trousers from the petite ranges and they are actually slightly too short as I do like them slightly on the long side as they will give the illusion of length. I find a lot of jeans are designed for people with bigger thighs then me, so I have to really hunt around for a pair that are straight from hip to knee. I cannot wear hipsters as I don't have any hips, so a few years back when hipsters were all that there where I very rarely wore them.
The other problem is I often have to go up a size as jeans are always a slightly tighter fit due to the durability of denim and that they always shrink in the wash. And no it's not that I've put weight on!
I always make sure that I have a 'best' pair for nights out as I really am most comfortable in trousers and find that jeans always look good.
