Advantages: Works fine for smaller cup sizes I'm sure
Disadvantages: Not enough support, weighs boobs down, sticks to everything but your front
I bought this adhesive bra initially to give me some lift under a swimsuit while I was on holiday. Although it would also be very useful to wear with backless clothing I didn't hold out much hope for it as my boobs are on the larger side and they don't look like they give you much support. However I had heard good things about them so went ahead and bought a pair... that was my biggest mistake.
Firstly I followed the instructions for putting them on down to a T. I took each cup out of the holder and affixed them to my boobs ready to clip together in the middle. Sounds simple in theory, a lot less so in practice when you have to keep taking them off and on to align them evenly and make sure you don't have wonky lady lumps.
This is **especially** bad if you have nipple piercings as I found out the hard way. After nearly tearing my nipple bar out I found the best way to safeguard them was to stick a little bit of masking tape over the piercing or put a little circle of tissue into the cup to lessen the stickiness. It does add another layer of complication to the process but better than the boob-wrenching feeling everytime you adjust the bra.
Once have your cups on straight and your piercings taped to safety, you hook the cups together in the centre. The bra is meant to be able to give you extra cleavage by positioning the cups further away and clipping together, which again sounds fine in theory except everytime something touches your front the bra decides to magically unhook leaving your boobies flailing in opposite directions under your top.
All this would be fine if you didn't need the backless element of the bra surely? That's what I thought until after an hour at the beach the cups got so warm, sweaty, sticky, peel-y and generally unbearably uncomfortable I had to take them off. I put them in my bag pocket straight away but from the metre-and-a-half's distance from my boobs and the floor the cups seemed to have grabbed hold on to a million grains of sand, which despite wash after wash have stuck like superglue to the bra but make the cups less adhesive still to my boobs.
Under swimsuits they are too warm, as a backless bra they just drag my boobs down, so what are these useful for? Well I can wear them for extra lift under a normal bra, but as the cups are quite big I have to keep tucking them down or pulling my top up. They do hold better than chicken fillets for example, and the adhesive is enough so I never feel them slipping out of my top.
I think these retail for about £20 in shops but I bought mine new of Ebay for under a tenner, a price tag much more fitting to the quality of this item.
I'm sure there are smaller boobied ladies out there who love these things, but for big girls like me they were absolutely atrocious. Think I'll stick with bikini tops- they support miles better and look just as good under backless styles.
Summary: Invisible is the best way to describe it as it's invisible what good its doing for your lady lumps!
