I am not really a Johnny Deep fan but when I saw this vest in Dorothy Perkins, I loved it, and the fact it was on sale at almost half price persuaded me to buy it. I got it for £12 and the RRP is £22. The portrait photo of Johnny looks really sort of indie and vintage and I really liked it as it is so eye catching. The picture is of a young Johnny, and to be honest I didn't even realise it was him at first, so I don't think many people actually look at the vest and think "oh, she's a johnny depp fan."
The vest is a lovely subtle shade of grey in colour with a deep scoop neck and hem detailing. The straps are quite thick which I like and it is quite a long vest. It is also slightly scooped at the back so it's definetly more for either layering under cardigans/blazers or wearing it with a pair of shorts in the summer although in my opinion it is a bit too long to tuck in unless you're wearing long shorts/jeans. It isn't quite long enough to wear with leggings which is a slight downside.
It is not the most flattering top and seems to make me look a bit pregnantt as it sort of flays out at the bottom like a crop would, but it is too long to be a crop. The picture as I said before is a portrait style photo of Johnny, which has faded parts and white flecks on it which add a bit of an indie and vintage look. The colours in the picture are very neutral colours so aren't hugely eye catching although as the picture takes up a majority of the vest, it is quite noticeable.
Sizes available are 8, 10, 14, 16, 18. It fits quite well apart from the hem which is a little unflattering but not to the point of making me feel uncomfortable. The material is 100% vicose and really smooth, silky and lightweight. It is soft to the touch and when i'm wearing it, it is really comfortable. It is machine washable and washes well. I have washed mine a number of times and it is in perfect condition, the picture hasn't faded and the top hasn't shrunk or bobbled. Overall I like this top and would reccomend it.
